Iomic grips

anyone tried them yet?

Just fitted the brightest most lurid lime green one to my TPM9. It feels nice under my hands I'll see how it performs at the course.

I think a lime green infill is in order to match it :crazy:

only thing that gets me is taht the grip's a bit fat...

 

and it gets dirty easily..

I just ordered a red one to replace the pink one on the putter I bought. I'm just not a good enough putter to rock the pink one :crazy: They feel GREAT, very dense but have a velvety feel, and the are easy to clean. The pink one came all dirty, and the dirt wiped right off. Too bad they are so darn $$$$$

Firm and dense to the touch, feels cool and refreshing to the hands. Grip is square which promotes both hands being parellel on the grip. Maintain its feel even when wet (some grips I tried e.g. new Odyssey, Winn ... feels mushy and slippery when wet). All in all, great feel. I have orange and red ones on my putters. :crazy:

They feel similar in shape to the cameron one. They are very thin in regular size (and light) I've got the mid size which to my hands feels a little bit bigger than the ones on the Circa 62.

 

I just wish I could find an Orange one, I'm all about the Orange :crazy:

Tour Spec shipping to the UK is very fast, and you get a tracking number to follow the progress. When you are shopping, take a look at the ComoCome covers too, pretty nice. I got a couple of Lucky Clover leafs.

 

i was thinking of getting some from tourspecgolf however they only do putter grips and im looking to do my whole bag with IOmic grips.

I agree about the feel, only the Winn putter grips come close. However they get filthy fast, and I can't clean 'em up to my satisfaction. Has anyone got any ideasas to how to clean them up a bit?

I just wiped over with a damp cloth and it was clean as a whistle again.

I have the Lime green one and it feels amzing. I am thinking of ordering some more tomorrow. Best Grip for the money in my book. It was close though between these and the Grip Master Grips. The Iomic won just because of ease of cleaning, and playability in the rain.

the iomic grips are a bit bigger than the ping or the camron studio grip...but if i remember correctly they do make a smaller one...i have the white one and i love it!!!

Thank you for this! I thought that it was just me. I just put a new Odyssey "White Ice" grip in my older X7 putter. It had a Winn Jumbo thing on it and I just could not find the feel for this huge grip. I liked the putter, but could not get used to the huge grip on it. I picked the new grip out at GG and merely grabbed it out of a bin. It looked to have the size and the shape that I desired. The grip was in a sealed package. I sort of figured that the Odyssey grip would be best for the Odyssey putter.

Well, when I got it home, I took a bunch of putts with it on the basement carpet. What I immediately noticed was that the grip felt very slippery and even seemed to promote excessive sweatiness in my hands. Dry as a bone, it was slippery. Once my hands got sweaty, the grip was just a greased pole! I am in Minnesota and my basement is NOT a very warm place, so it wasn't like I was overheating or anything.

I thought that maybe it was just residue from the installation process, so I washed the grip and tried to dry it. Wow! Was that a mistake. The grip seems to hold the wetness in the "nubblies" and just would not return to a dry condition and was [u]super[/u] slippery and [u]super[/u] spongy after that!

This will not stand. I can't even imagine what trouble I might have when it is 85 degrees and sunshine (it CAN get that warm in Minnesota!) much less some light rain or drizzle! I will admit that the grip does look good on the putter, but, with the gentle grip pressure that I like to use, I am fearful that the slipperiness will cause my hands to slip and lose control.

The good news is that grips (in the overall scheme of golf-related expenditures) are cheap. This time, I am going to shop a bit harder to find that grip that meets my needs instead of just buying the grip that seemed to best fit the club.
