I have seen a bunch of pictures of these irons and every time I look at them it looks to me like the "feel pockets" or RAC technology on the back is just painted on and not really there. I am fairly sure that they are not there but just done to "look" like the other TaylorMade blades.

 

Am I seeing things?

no u aren't. actually i think they are tungsten or something because JD has always had tons of lead tape on the back of his blades. but yeah they want them too look like the rac mb's, probably to avoid proto speculation. of course these FREAKIN' PRO pics easy took wont help hide them!

if taylor made put them in the shops with daly's lion on i bet they would be a good seller same as the maxfli bag but they seem a bit slow at making money out of JD and they never answer emails i send !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy that took these said the same thing. He took Daly shots last year and is sending them to me. He says they are identical to the dunlops.

I believe he has a retail r7 460 head cranked open a couple of degrees and A LOT of lead tape on the toe. Plays a REAX shaft tipped a couple of inches so it feels like rebar too!!!

word is there wasn't a tour version so they took a retail 10.5 and bent it 4* open

At the time Taylor made only had the "Non-TP" version out. John must of liked it enough. They bend it open and he has played with it ever since.

 

 

I will have some more pics tonight. Also the guy that is giving John the irons is a TM tour rep. Some thought it was John's new caddy. John fired his old caddy and picked up Greg Rita "Boats". They call him Boats on tour because he has a size 14 foot or something. He is John's new caddy starting the week of the Buick.

In the first pic, are those graphite shafts in his irons. They look too dark to be steel? Maybe its just my eyes.
