Thanks. I love CS putters. Just so easy to line up and keep on line. Definately going to have to Save up some and give Tom a call. I wonder if I could do it with a UST Frequency Filtered shaft and a Gripmaster grip. That would be a killer combo.

Well...after 2 weeks and almost 20 emails, my Slighter Tacoma is paid for and on the list. Tom's a class act. It kindof felt like I was his only customer at the time, but due to the time period before I'm rolling my birdies in with this thing it's obvious I'm not. I checked the "Estimated Completion Date"....01/01/07. It seems so far away...good thing it's almost winter. Oh well, anticipation can only make it that much better, right? Here's the stats -

Hey guys - just an FYI

 

I've really enjoyed using the putters I've had Tom make for me. I think once you use one, you will see what all the buzz is about.

 

Unfortunately, I am in a position where I need to get rid of a lot of the golf equipment I have laying around the house and go with the bare minimum clubs I need to fill a bag. With that, I am selling my Tacoma and my Redmond. It really breaks my heart to do this, but I don't have much of a choice. (I've got twins on the way and just found out how much diapers and formula cost - I nearly had a heart attack.)

 

I am letting them go for next-to-nothing compared to what I spent for them. They are both 33" and both have my initials on the heel. If you are interested, take a look at your favorite auction site and search for Tacoma or Redmond.

I have two kids and my wife and I are done. We are out of the diaper and formula stage but the costs don't stop. Now we are on to braces, clothes and other necessities. Good grief, when does this stuff stop. Well, I have two great kids and I would rather invest in them than personal items.

 

Best of luck with your twins blum22. As nice as golf equipment is, you will find your kids even better. Ask yourself this, "When was the last time your golf equipment ran over to you, hugged you and said to you, 'I love you Daddy' after hitting a great shot." My wife gave me that wisdom and it is soooo true. My kids fill a spot in my heart that golf equipment just cannot do. You will see and it will not be that bad. Trust me.

Anyone have or putted with a Slighter Seattle?

 

I love the look of the putter and just was curious to see if anyone had any feedback???

 

They all look tremendous, but as a guy who's only used off the shelf retail putters it's hard to put the money down on a putter that you haven't test drove.

 

Any feed back on the Seattle would be great!

 

 

There is one here, I know it. I have tried to purchase it, a few times. LOL. Can't remember the gentleman's member name, but I bet that he will check in and give a review. He loves his Seattle, believe me. Best of Luck,

Hello Lamont! I was thinking of you yesterday when my trusty Seattle was misbehaving, but it was all me. Things back to normal for me today. The thing I like about my Seattle is the absolute solid feel of the 303 SS steel and the 350g weight, thinner profile, I just lucked out. I bought it on Ebay reshafted with a graphite shaft but the seller sent the original shaft. I had Tom Slighter put the old shaft back and refinish it in a 3x black finish. I've experimented with it in so many ways putting lead tape etc., I put some lade tape on the shaft under the grip to counter balance it and it's perfect. Putters are very personal and I just happen to like my Slighter Seattle, it does not hurt that Tom was such a gentleman to deal with. Here are some photos:

This is a great putter, unbelievably solid. If Tom saw this putter today, he'd kill me but I kinda like it looking battle hardened, truth is I just lose the headcovers. This is more solid than my old Scotty Newport 2 gun blue which is also a terrific putter. I like the thinner profile.

EXACTLY :drinks: ....probably why mine are all OTR putters (other than retail).....My Slighter is 350, my Byron is 355, and my Big Oak Havana is 355 as well.....I'm still perplexed why more OEM's won't make a heavier putter.
