Yururi flat Back V's Miura 1957's

Anyone have the pleasure??
Having had 2 sets of the 1957 Baby blades in the past...

I'm looking for any reason why I don't go back to them, but also like to try new JDM blades.

Has anybody hit the Yururi recently? I know they are Kyoei forged which I am lead to believe are sligtly softer then Miura, where Miura has a very solid feel. I also like to have a heavy head without the need for tip weighting...

I don't mind the size of the 1957's having played blades for the last 5-6 years, but the ho in me and this site always makes me sell and try new stuff.

1957 blade is smaller but weighs the same. Think of your TB with the toe sawed off. The weight was moved into the muscle and sole. I have a set of both the TB and 1957's. the 57's flight the ball a bit lower and feel a bit more solid IMO. Here are some comps from an old post...

I have a Vega wedge in raw flat black which is a similar head and it's super soft. There's a stone mark straight across the sole and it looks like
it's been scored with a sharp center punch or something. Probably an indication of how soft the the metal is.

Don't use it from bunkers or nasty lies like cart paths.

A customer of mine has both sets. He preferes the Series 1957. Not sure if this is of any help.

Uhu..But your job is selling Miura isnt it?
Yes, that's my job. But was referring to a customer of ours that owned both set. :)

They are both VERY GOOD... I would say it comes down to feel more than anything else, which in my books is a tie. Yururi would be more "rare" than Miura, most definitely. Either way, good choice!!!

ive had both.

sotness goes to yururi for sure.

the miura are a more rounded solid shape. nice for hitting in the wind or on links.

yrurui spin more and i think are easier to hit scoring shots with, the are more knife like so i feel more comfortable and confident getting close to pins with the 8-9-pw in yururi

the miura are better in the longer irons . bit more robust and punchy.

the yururi are knife like ,with a very exclsuive grind. excellnt for tight lies.

if it were only one set form these , id go with the ...............

actually it .doesnt matter , both tare tops , theres no better/worse here , they are a differnt shape. if u had either of these ud be a happy camper.

Sorry for bumping this up but at this moment I'm also considering Yururi but would like to see if there are more feedback as compare to Miura?

I just had a set of yonex ezone blades with c-tapers in s+ built for me and these are by far the most gorgeous and best feeling sticks that I've swung to date...I've gamed tm tp rac mb, mizzy mp63/mp68 and cally prototpes to name a few.

For those watching this thread, I think that the Yururi is the VM-01 in the Vega lineup with the "raw" finish and their own mystical characters.

We've managed quite a few testing programs for very good players who wanted to know exactly how each set played before making a decision. That testing sequence involved finding the shaft first - which we did with the normal 6 iron testing with the launch monitor confirmed with outdoors hands-on. That got us in the ballpark. From there we built several complete sets to make sure that the three iron was worth keeping and the wedge was not goofy.

We cycled through all of the "likely suspect" shafts. That included PX 6.0 (the starting point), X-100 Tour, Shimada Pro in several flexes, Modus 3 and the Constant Taper in all flexes. The "winning combination" for the most extensive testing sequence that I have heard of short of the pros was - - -

CT in Tour X with the Vega VM-01.

Leith,

Any where those results are posted and any particular reason CT was the final selected over the others?? Was it the ball flight, feel, feel??

Thanks in advance...

just out of interest did u try the nippon super peenings blues?
Stew, funny you mention SPB's. I shafted my yururi protos with SPB X. They still haven't been hit, and I intend to keep it that way. The muira gikken's, however, seem to be getting reshafted every week....

i JUST pulled my set of SST pured NS spb
for a set of NS proto DP ( the modus precursor)
Much , much higher flight
BUT very surprisingly and pleasantly very straight.

the sst psured blues were preposterously straight, almost impossible to move these about , heance i kept em in oz for links play mainly.
brought them back a cpl of weeks ago far a bit of japan course love.,

the feel is markedly differernt
the sp blues made these like lazers. which is great for 8-9pw but im thinking i ned ab it more forgivenss in the 7 and below.
the DP add a slightly differnt tack as i can throw them up a bit and let the wind play with the ball a bit more ,which i really like .
i think i have the bubba watson school of straight thought a straight line might be close to a great circle! but its stil straight!

the heads on the kyoie are solid , they aint butter soft. but they arnt rods either
i find these heads probably give the best feel for when ive middled it or not and i trust when i do these will be the most direct.
if i aim at a pin witth these and nial it i think ill get t the best results over all my other irons

and thats HUGE statement considering what company they are in..

i dont game em most weeks bec the ENDO made yamaha tour feel is just too addictive. its too hard not to put in the bag
when i do game them, tho , every round i come away from i m always saying ' sheeeeeeeesh.., did u see that 8 iron i hit to 2 feet , thats as good as it gets" somerthing like that ., every match.
thats where these things absolutely excel imo.
ill keep these puppeius for ever play em when im juts hitting balls by myself on course, on in oz in the comps on links. when i donty care about how they feel , i just want em close.

i have mine in chrome and they look the same as they did when i got them out of the box from kyoei. they are spotless.
absolutely superb looking heads.

one of thesets i wont be selling ,trading up sclaing from .
they have a purpose.

owari !
