I know absolutely nothing about Chris Kirk but that putter is the definition of a ole trusty flatstick if I ever saw one. Can't imagine him kicking that putter out of the bag after all those years with it.

Old Classic One Scotty is well broken in. Chris is a solid player just trying to find his way around the tour. Like Bobby Gates, when he finds out he can play with these guys, watch out.

Good stuff. Would love to dig a little deeper. Here are some Q's I'd like to hear answers to, as an example:

1. why the 2010 pro v1x and not the 2011

2. why did he choose the shafts he chose? BB and PX in the woods. What does he like about those shafts? 63X is a little on the light side for the pros. Why 63? Does he feel like he sacrifices control for speed?

3. what's different about the DG tour issue iron shafts? why those over other available shafts?

4. how often does he change his grips?

5. any new shafts out that he's interested in trying or has heard a lot of hype/positive talk about?

6. what are the best changes he made to his equipment this year?

They aren't all gems, but that's the general gist. Just one man's thoughts.

In getting ready for the interview I prep the players about the questions to get a feel for how much they are into their equipment. Chris said that he was not into the specs cuz that was what the Titleist Tech guys get paid to understand and take care of for him.

I also don't get much time with these guys. They will do the video fir a couple of minutes but after that most want to get back to practice

Hope to get more time and more players as I build my rep with the players

Have had a number of top 10 finishers as well. Scott Stalling, Bobby Gates, Michael Thompson & Kevin Streelman are a few Top 10's.

Well, it's the 09 model v1x since they change every couple of years. I was surprised too about the 63 in the driver, but lately the Georgia boys are flat out playing awesome. Tour issue shafts in irons are closely matched in weight, and probably frequency as well. Repeating swing produces consistent results, but not more than px IMO...since matching freq. has been their MO for years.

Thanks for the great pics - neat stuff! One thing though... am I the only one who's less than impressed with the shaft fit on the hosel of the black Scotty?? It looks like somebody's getting lazy... Yuk!
