Love my neo as well. Cheap and works. I think the membership was 30 bucks and that gives you 100 course downloads.

Exactly what it was, sure beats the $400 + Lasers, buddy purchased one and all I see him do every hole is get out of cart and try to keep his hand steady, lol

I have an old school iGolf Neo, before Bushnell bought them. And yeah...it was $30/year. Not a bad deal if you ask me...until smartphones came along. SkyDroid is like $1.99, doesn't have an annual fee, and gives you just about every ability any GPS device will. You can measure how far you hit a shot, and you can even use Google Maps to figure out how far you are from a certain layup spot. It has points predetermined on there, and you can change them if you wish.

Pretty sweet deal if you ask me, just a thought.

well i have a neo and original like yours and loved it. but i wanted more courses than it gives so i have a new golfbuddy world i love. although i miss sometimes how long the battery lasted on my neo plus i usually play the same courses as i am a member at one so ten is plenty.

but gotta disagree on one point you make that so many do when comparing. does skydroid work for cheap on a smartphone ...yes. how long does the battery last though? in my use...on my samsung captivate....about 10 holes...thats right...not a full 18. sometimes it didnt make 9.

the neo? it used to last me 4-5 full rounds of golf on one charge. 4-5 rounds vs skydroid as little as less than half of one round. stick with golf specific devices if one does not want to fiddle with extra battery packs etc.

I have an old school Neo and it served its purpose I didn't need anything more, now I just use my phone Skydroid and it works well for me. I can play a full round and still have half my battery left. If it makes any difference I have a HTC G2 Tmobile phone.

My droid is pushing it to finish 18 holes on a fairly quick day when I am running Skydroid. I think that when it is time for me to get a new phone the battery life is going to be my main consideration as I like the apps just as much if not more than any GPS unit I have seen other than the battery concerns.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
