Best value shops in Az?

Recommended Posts

I like to try / see when I buy a lot of my gear or at least before I yank it off Ebay. But every now and then service deserves my business.

Where are the best places to get a decent deal, price point wise around the valley of the sun?

I remember valley golf center had Titleist NXT's for 18.99 per dozen and that is the kind of deals I'm looking for.

Also anyone ever hit the Srixon AD333? Dicks has them 2 dozen for 24.99 is it a big difference from my normal 20 buck chuck NXT?

Thanks!

I for one Love Vans golf shop, but asking 60 dollars for a used wedge covered in dings with barely any groove left just makes me sick to my stomach when you could buy the same thing for 13 dollars online. Also everything seems to be full priced unless it's last years model.

I for one am a bargain shopper so this isn't ideal.

Matt, there is a store called the Arizona Golf Exchange on East Speedway & Swan (just east of Swan). They do all my repair work. I am a shaft junkie, and I'm always having them re-shaft or re-grip something. They do excellent work, and they are great guys. They're young, and cool, but they're also honest and fair and hardworking businessmen. They have a large selection of used clubs. They also have a bay with a launch monitor. One of the guys is a regular on here. You won't be disappointed. They'll treat you well.

IF you go to www.proclubs.com, they are an ebay store but they are located in the general Phoenix area. When you purchase clubs from them, you can just go pick them up. They have some pretty solid deals on some good clubs and you don't have to pay shipping which is a bonus. I was in there the other day, man they have a TON of stuff. I spent way too much time in there and walked out with more than i expected...

Their ebay store is here:

I bought 2 dozen Ad333 Srixon balls today and had them priced matched from dicks sporting goods at 2 for 24.95.

then traveled down the road and traded one dozen in without a receipt for a 19.99 dozen I wanted to try that was on clearance

not a shabby deal
[/quote]

let me get this straight....are you saying you bought them at dicks then went down the street {assuming Golfsmith] and returned one dozen for cash or store credit? or am i missing something?

if this is correct disregard my advise on going to Azgolf works please

So it is OK to pull it on Walmart, but not OK on a respectable golf shop? It is what you are doing that is shady...who you do it to does not matter.

That is what is wrong with things today. It has become acceptable to pick and choose how you do the right thing. Example...a kid gets caught stealing. He stole a dollar. The parent says hey no big deal, he only stole a buck. Not, hey you stole!

Hey-you posted what you did on an internet forum. That makes it fair game to pick apart.

I have studied business in college for quite some time now and I know the in's and outs of how those guys pay very minimum, destroy small towns and small business, chase after military px sales, etc. and no I don't feel using the system to get a discount is bad at all. If it was you would see these extreme coupon crazies who do basically the same thing and write off 10-30 thousand in donations per year in jail.

I didn't think it was that serious, but obviously some people do.

not worth any more replies from me.

Just one more addition to this and then done...

To Matt Attack. You still don't get my point. I do not care that you jammed Walmart. This is a personal integrity issue, but you don't get that. You price matched 2 doz. balls at one store, then went to another branch of said store, returned them for FULL price. IT AINT ABOUT SCREWING WALMART!! ETHICS my friend. Funny thing is...it probably cost you as much in gas and time to do that.

Doing the right thing when everyone is watching don't count. It is doing the right thing when no one else can see.
