Get a stroller that is built for 2 kids. Put your daughter in one side and your golf bag in the other. That is what I have done. If you come up with a better option please let me know!

I wish the dual-stroller was as readily available as it is now.

When my son was under 1, I would take him out with me in a jogging stroller. I would play out of a Sunday bag that I could either carry, or slide down into the undercart carrying area up to the handle. Worked very well.

Given everything, I would get the dual jogging stroller and a Sunday bag and go play. I always tried to play a 9 where nobody was to almost eliminate any chance of him getting hit. A ball came close once, from a guy 200 yards over who shanked the piss out of it and magically made it over the water hazard and through the sparse trees to land the ball about 30 feet away from my kid. Not all that scary, but I always had the stroller face away from ANY other fairway or any place a ball MIGHT have a chance to come from.

I am just happy I am not the only guy saying, "Babes this is my last summer."

I used it too- got me into single digits for the first time in my life. Then we had our amazing baby girl, and with the change in perspective she provided, my game continued to get better for months! Hard to get mad at a silly game of golf when you just experienced the miracle of life, right?!

Unfortunately, it's worn off in the last year or so and my index keeps floating higher...time to give Dylan a baby brother or sister I guess!

btw- that's her in the stroller next to the 18th green at Pebble in my avatar pic.

Do they make a push cart that acts as a bag cart/baby stroller. I have searched but can't find anything! I can't be the first parent who has thought of this
I'd go for the double stroller. We've got a double Chariot (jogging stroller/cycling trailer) and it would work really well I'd think. Burly also makes one.

And more importantly...CONGRATULATIONS!

Congrats on the babies. Life changers for sure (in a great way). Please rethink the idea of bringing them to a golf course. Far too risky. <object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oLB4NN8v4yk?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oLB4NN8v4yk?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></object>

I think he just wanted the opportunity to post that dumb video lol.

We're expecting our first in February so I am also using the "its my last summer/fall to play golf excuse". If anybody finds a better option than the double stroller for golfing with your kid then please keep us informed. I"m surprised Taylormade hasn't came up with an all white version to reduce glare ;)

I'm a father of four and all my kids play golf. It is great to be able to enjoy a round with my kids. However, a golf course is no place for a baby. Beside the danger of getting hit by a ball, babies don't understand that you are out playing a game, and the need to be quiet when others are golfing.

I've had two different parents, at two different times, get upset with me because I had the nerve to ask them to take it elsewhere when their little crotch fruit wouldn't shut up the crying on the course. Their excuse to me was that it's a baby and it doesn't know that I'm trying to enjoy a round of golf so I should be more patient with their precious little snowflake.?.? :fool:

rig a baby swing to hang from a push cart handle, of course you'll have to back weight the front wheel somehow so it doesnt tip over. tis way you can swing the kid if he/she gets crabby. congrats by the way. my wife has liver problems and we decided its best not to try to concieve as it would be bad for her and a chance it would be bad for the chid. if it happens it happens but it wont be planned thats for sure. i dont mind actually, 3 nieces and a nephew are plenty. im actually wondering how my sis and her lazy a$$ hubby are going send 4 kids to college

What point are you trying to make by posting a video series of clips where people are trying to intentionally get hit?

I have played golf for 27 years and haven't' been hit once. Heck, I can count on 1 hand the number of times I was even close to getting hit.
My point is that a baby's' skull is no match for a 100 mph golf ball. (sorry if I didn't post a baby's smashed head video, I was trying to gently make a point)

I've been playing nearly as long as you and have been accidentally hit by a golf ball several times. It freaking hurts!

Once I was almost killed by a blind shank from an unseen tee box. I have seen people get hit by ricocheted shots, out of control carts, and drunken idiots thrown clubs.

A saw a good friend go down hard after his ball bounced straight back into his chest from a tree.

You really think a baby should be exposed to that?

Really?

Maybe there's a reason they don't manufacture baby carriers for golf carts.

I'm a parent and a golf addict. Crying child on a golf course aside, I would never expose an infant to the dangers of a golf course.

Never.

Ever.

You people who would consider it, are either not yet parents, or really not thinking straight.

You want to keep your baby safe on a golf course? Don't bring him there.

After reading all these horror stories on injuries on a golfcourse, just imagine the dangers that we parents encounter on the streets. I think it's more likey to get hurt or be in an accident in public then on a golfcourse.
While your statement is probably true, why would you increase the odds of a young child getting injured or possibly worse? Bringing an infant on to a golf course is very irresponsible and selfish in my opinion. As a father of two, I can't think of one good reason to take my children on the course.

Please don't do it.

I understand your concern Noob, but i think it is up to the parents themselves to make the right responsible judgement and decision.

For instance, I only take our son when it's not busy on the course. That's usually on a sunday afternoon, after a club tournament. (I'm a member of a small 9 hole private club, about 500 members). Usually the course is empty and we've got the place for ourselves. Me and my girlfriend think it's a nice alternative for walking in the park.

When I'm on the course I keep in mind general safety rules which apply for all golfers, and never leave our son unattended(out of sight).

Besides that, I also take in to account the weather forecast. no rain, thunder or extreme heat and sun exposure.

We can see our son enjoys himself, because he love's to look at the surroundings and what we try to do when we take a swing at te ball.

If we don't feel it's responsible and safe we won't play and go elsewhere.
