Best Greens

Which courses have the best greens right now within 45 mins of Grand Rapids? I'm normally at Pilgrims or The Meadows but I need to play somewhere else but I need the greens to be in great shape.

if youre willing to drive a little south, Hastings Country Club has some nice greens. Not the longest course, but the greens are extremely challenging. They definitely invest a lot of time in them. Its a public cc too.

Yarrow in Augusta usually has VERY nice greens that roll true, this year was a little hit or miss though. Just my 2 cents.

Yarrow was very hit and miss this year - I think it was because of the weather. The Ravines in Saugatuck had nice greens both times I played this year.

Thanks. The Ravines maybe the winner. I actually have never played there so that is probably a great choice.

most places have aerated their greens by now. My advice would be to call and see who hasn't. If you want lightning fast greens try macatawa legends..

You can come play Railside (Byron Center) tomorrow morning if you want....we have a 3 some, Od and I.

If that doesn't work, hit me up the next time you tee it up at Pilgrims.

That would be perfect If I didn't have to work tomorrow. I've played there a few times and its always been in nice shape. Its actually less than 15 mins from my house. I do need to get out with a few WRXers one of these days though. I'll let ya know when I'm back at Pilgrims.
