Haven't been able to play as much as I'd like to because of baseball, but the times I have been able to get out I've played some of the best golf I've ever played. I played March 1st at my home course The Fairways and shot a 39(+4). Then on the 17th, I played Lakeview which is an easy, short 9 hole course in Hartville and shot a 37(+4). Then on the 18th I played Edgewood which is another 9 hole course and pretty easy and shot a 77(+7)(played the 9 twice) which is the first time I've ever been in the 70's so that was pretty cool. I played there again the next day and shot a 37(+2) and then today I played 9 at my home course, and shot a 39. I've been in the 30's my last six 9's so I've been riding a pretty hot streak despite most of them being on pretty easy courses. Hopefully I can continue to play and score well when taking it to some tougher courses.

At The Quarry, it's $49 Mon-Thur, $56 on Friday's, $59 on Weekends and Holidays, and then $51 on Weekends and Holidays after noon. Those spring rates apply until May 15th so that's the pricing for about two more months.

Very nice! I figured out a few things the other day and played the back in an even 36 at Grantwood in Solon after a frustrating 42 (or 43, cant remember now) on the front. I only made one birdie on each side but a 7 on an EASY par 4 killed me on the front. (Who decides where these damn white stakes go anyway?) I hit some freakin peaches on the back with my mid and long irons. On 18 there is a pretty big tree guarding the left side of the green and the pin of course was back left. I had 155 middle and 165 to the hole, went back and forth between 7 and 8 iron and decided it needed a full 7. I aimed for the fat part of the green to the right side and tried to play a little draw. I hit the exact shot i saw in my mind and it hit 3 feet from the stick, took one weak bounce and I had 5 feet to go even on the back which I made. All i wanted to do was go around again but alas, no time! Just one of those shots you don't forget (and want to share apparently! HA!) I don't hit to many of those!

Whats up? My shoulder is healed and I have 6 or 7 rounds under my belt already! Shot a 1 under at Brookledge on Wednesday and then a 83(36-47) at Ellsworth Meadows on Sunday.

Joe(joekelli), KYMAR(Mark), adams603(Matt), and myself got out this morning and played 18 at Fox Den in Stow. Rather than walking everybody throught the front 9, we'll just go ahead and say...it wasn't pretty...for any of us.

Joe led the way with an 80(41-39) and I had an 89(48-41). The four...yes, FOUR...7's that I had killed me. I tripled the first two holes, doubled the par 5 5th, and doubled the par 5 14th. The front was just a mess, but on the back I was able to get it together and shoot a 41, par'ing the last four holes. My iron play was pretty good all day I just couldn't get off the tee. I guess you can't expect to score when you only hit 1/14 fairways.

Had a great time though! We'll have to get together again sometime soon. Maybe we could go out to Joe's home course, Brookledge. Never been there but I've heard it's really nice.

the wind made the back pretty tough and also I was very surprised by how dry the course was! The greens were running close to an 11 which was very hard to get used too after playing slow greens for most of this early season. On short pitches you had to land them short and let them roll because of how dry it was. Just very hard to get used to all that so early in the season, thats for sure. But the reason I shot so bad on the front was because of my driver mostly. I just could not get loose until the back nine.

I played the back 9 at Lyons Den for the first time tonight. Unfortunately it was also the first round used to set handicaps. The back 9 feels twice as long and four times as technical. No sand, but plenty of water. Lots of doglegs, and two doglegs into a 100 yard carry over a pond to the green with no layup room. I'll feel more comfortable with it in a couple weeks, but after playing the front 9 twice and getting used to it, it was a shock at how different it is.

The wind felt British open-esq - fast, strong, and persistent. Couple that with what I think is an interior oblique pull and I ended up shooting a 61 on a par 35 back nine. Picked up on the two main water holes...went through a sleeve of my new Taylormade Rocketballz and a couple junk balls. Next week should be better, hopefully...

It would have been worth it to expose this unconscionable act of sabotage and attempted ruination of my Good name! This is an outrage i tell you! AN OUTRAGE!!!

Do you guys wanna start getting the pairings together? If someone has to cancel then the next alternate in line would just take their spot. I'm thinking we could do a randomizer that will put the names in groups of four which would be the pairings.

But first we would need to figure out what we are doing as far as skins and stuff like that. We'll do long drive, closest to the pin, and I think we agreed on just doing one big [optional] skins game. Anything else you guys might want to do?
