Pablo Creek-Jacksonville

I am fresh out of the police academy and waiting to get sworn in at an agency, so mean while i have been working for my father inlaws company as a supervisor. We have been installing some travertine pavers on the back side of the restaurant right at the 18th hole. This course is just beautiful! I know the course is a private club. I felt honored just to be able to get through the front gate. Anybody ever had the luxury of playing a round at Pablo Creek in jacksonville?

I played there as a guest and it was a special experience. It is unlike any other course in NE FL. There's a reason why their membership is so exclusive, including members from Augusta, Pine Valley.

I was lucky enough to play here once as well. Amazing course. No houses on the course at all, and in immaculate condition.

Played there quite a few times when I was in the business. The course is the best kept secret in North Florida. It's been years since I have played there but it was always in unbelievable shape and there was never anyone out there. If you get a chance to play don't pass it up!

Awesome course from what I've been able to find out, unfortunately I am one of the masses on the outside peering over the fence . Glen Kernen is another private that is very hard to get onto. I think those are the only two courses in Jax Area I have not been able to snag a time on...

I believe that's actually the Davis family's landing strip but I could be wrong. Funny thing if you keep looking left at that property, you will see there is a par four or five golf hole in the middle of the property all by itself.

I did a little digging, it's known as Deep Forest Airport apparently, a private airstrip owned by George Hodges, Jr. - a very wealthy real estate tycoon of sorts. I don't see the hole you mentioned, depending on which map I guess it's either all forest or sections cleared for development.

oh I see it now, further over than I was looking. Yeah that is odd...maybe a test hole for agronomy or something? Who knows.

I'd give my first born to play Pablo. There are only a few courses here that I haven't played...Pablo, Glen Kernan, and Palencia I think are the only ones.

Palencia used to be easy to get on, not sure now. It's a nice track. FSGA is playing there later this year...Oct 23rd.

Dang. I guess I'm lucky, I played Palencia via a Queens harbor member getting us on there. Played Glen Kernan for some landscaping company event. I'd compare Glen Kernan's layout and experience to Amelia National but give the nod to Amelia National which you can play for $50. Still trying to work the connections for Pablo Creek though.

AN is nice, greens are always a bit slow & grainy - they just don't want to cut them for some reason... playing there tomorrow, actually.

It is a great course for sure. The layout is just incredible, the conditions are perfect, however the greens are way way fast !!!! I was there last week chipping, and happened to go by the announced greens speed for the day. Just 13.7... I have been fortunate to play there 15-20 times over the years... I have always bogied (or worse) the first hole then played ok. I figured my handicap there is terrble

Palencia is very easy to get on now. They have lots of Members for a Day Promotions, deals with the golf tee times sites.

I have had the privilege of playing Pablo Creek several times. It is by far my favorite golf course I have ever played. The course is alway perfect and I love the layout. I love the quietness of it. No huge clubhouse, heck if you didn't know what you were looking for you will miss the entrance... just pure golf.

Played Palencia many times and like it, AN is OK but North Hampton is better. Will try to play Glen Kernan my next trip to my old home, Arlington. Wish I could play Pabelo Creek, but it's only a wish.

The simple fact that I have never seen another group on the course while playing (3x) is what makes it special.

Have played Pablo with a friend who is a member. The only way we can play is with a friend. Everytime I played the place was hardly used. I understand there is only 60 equity memberships. You can become a member only if one of the members wants to sell their membership to you. The cost of membership would be in the 6 figures. It is a very nice gentleman's golf club with a fantastic Fazio design and meticulously maintained.
