There are tour sleeve already out there in normal razr fits

i just called cally. the rep at sales had limited info and was calling corp. to get info faxed over asap. he said the only shaft he knows of right now is the factory RID'd shaft.. but this is what he said, that it was preorder now. he was calling everyone at corp. so all sales would have the info. he's calling me back soon, so we'll see from there. i asked about a 9.5 with x-stiff PxB, but he said the little lnfo they had was just dumped in their lap.

FWIW, I was told by a Callaway sales associate that other than looks, there is no difference b/w the TA head & the standard head. The shaft is the same Project X shaft that was used in the Diablo Octane Tour (not the Diable Octane Tour Black).

Doubt what thet rep said is true as far as the shaft goes. Project X black is a new shaft and was not out when the Diablo Octane Tour was in production.

Well, duh. I figure the different shaft, paint, headcover and weights are worth another $50 or so. The exclusivity factor is worth another $25 or so.

if its a OEM, its gonna be miles above the "factory" Px shafts of the past. my old Octane in 6.0 was less than 240 rpm in the fq machine. i wasnt very happy, but thats watered down shafts for you..lol

The pictures of the shaft as shown on GG & GS websites look identical to the stock Project X shaft that came w/ the Diablo Octane Tour that I received from Callaway Preowned a month ago. But you could very well be right. I will still order one. I love drivers.

Cally already has a instant classic on their hands so they better release a ton of them. Especially to compete with the TP line and others. This will be my first Cally driver in over a decade.

This is the Quote from the Golfsmith Website regarding the shaft. I would presume it must be the new one.

When I spoke with [color="#1c2837"][size="2"]Dr. Hocknell, head of R&D at Callaway, I was told that the Project X Black in the TA is indeed the real deal, it is part of the reason for the up charge. Also, as mentioned above (and in my earlier posts) the TA head has the same playing characteristics and the original Fit.[/size][/color]
