My Lajosi Notchback is ready

Some love for us Lefties

I ordered a Notchback XP3 from Kari Lajosi about 4 weeks ago and received these pictures from him last night of the finished putter. First off I could'nt be happier with the way Kari communicated with me along the way, updated me with progress and a few pictures over the 4 week span. The putter came out just as I had hoped. Plays at 33", the finish is Gun Metal Gloss and has his black Gripmaster signature grip on it.

That's a mighty fancy putter you got there. It's got some fascinating shapes about it, the proportions look different from every angle. Nice!

I guess it's not "unique" in that Kari has probably made others like it but it's unique in looking like a Ping or a Cameron or anything else you're going to see in the next guy's bag...

Damn, that looks good! I love the deep cavity and it look like you asked for the spiral milling????? is that correct? I actually like a lot of these putters in raw form, so to speak. Congrats

No kidding man. Kari makes the other guys look bad in this regard.

While having him make a custom for my wife, he was emailing about this and that, sending pics along the way, etc..

Just a remarkable experience that is certainly not the norm in custom putters.

Lamont Mann was like this when he made my two custom Sunset Beach putters, but it is a rare thing for sure.

I believe that was Kari personal gamer and one of the first XP3 model he had ever done.

Is it terribly gauche to wonder about the ballpark, cost-wise, of a custom Lajosi?

And how did the shipping work out in your case?

Kari sells his putters for less than he should in my opinion.

Most the ones I saw on his website a while back were less than the cost of a new Scotty Cameron. No brainer.

He can (and will enjoy) making ANYTHING you can dream up.

But he also has some already made putters on his site for sale.

Shipping to the US was perhaps a week. Easy.

Everything about Kari is top shelf.

After doing some research about Lajosi putters, I doubt I would ever buy another high end, off the rack putter. Kari will build you whatever you can think of.

I emailed him right after I bought my XP3 and asked some questions about the specs and he emailed me back personally. I think that's just awesome. I buy a used putter off ebay, and the guy that built it still takes the time to email me back and give me the info I was asking for. His customer service is top notch!

Kari is the only putter maker that does everything himself....from Cad design, milling, to painfill - he is a one-man job lol. And not to mention the personal e-mails and pictures he attend to himself

I've seen updates and there awesome. Got me thinking already about my next putter from Kari, a 8802 lefty in Damascus. I will order it over the winter.
