Good Florida resort courses/packages for father-son trip?

Planning a trip with my dad for October

Hey all,
My dad and I are looking to spend 3 nights in October in Florida with a good golf package. He's coming from NY and I am coming from Raleigh so we're especially looking at places with busy airports like Miami, Tampa, West Palm Beach, etc. Our price point is up to $230/night for the package. Do you all have any suggestions? We're considering Saddlebrook in Tampa and Doral, but we heard Doral will be having renovations around October. I know there are many of you with lots of Florida golf experience so I'd love to hear your opinions about other resorts! Thanks in advance.

I literally just got in the mail yesterday an offer to play the Ritz Carlton course called Grande Lakes in Orlando FL.

It says for $249 a night you get unlimited golf for 2 and get to stay at the Ritz Carlton. Or for $229 you can stay at the Marriott. For reservations call 800-682-6647 and use the promo code "GFP".

Look into it- it sounds like a great deal for a really good course. I played a Ritz Carlton course in the Jupiter area and it was spectacular.

I would look into PGA National in Palm Beach. They had some incredible rates for the summer with unlimited golf (plus breakfast, some drink deals, food vouchers). Not sure if any of those deals extend into October, but it might be worth checking on. They have 5 courses there and they are all pretty solid.

Heading there myself next month, and is a great suggestion. Several great courses to choose from. You may even be able to get a good deal at Bay Hill. Innisbrook is also a good option, or Reunion just outside Orlando. All should fit into the budget and give you plenty of course options...

Champions gate between Tampa and Orlando is another place you may want to check out. 36 holes and both courses are well kept solid tracks.
