Rocketballz swing weight adjustments???

Can you adjust the swing weight on the rocketballz heads with the little plug that is in the bottom of the head?

 

I did not know if it screwed out and you could install different weighted plugs in the head.

The tour van has different weights for the rbz but as far as I know, the public can't get them.

The screw does come loose with the right bit though

It's a t20 torx but for the screw, you can remove it and add cotton o the head to bring weight up

Technically, it needs a t20 torx [b]security[/b] driver. e.g. the driver needs a hole in the tip for the pin in the screw socket.

Well there is a seller from china selling them on ebay, although I haven't clue if they are legit or not.

Your best bet is getting the t20 security bit and having someone you trust adding hotmelt. I just did this myself and got the weight where i wanted it. The only issue with cotton balls is technically it is illegal if you play tournament golf.

Cotton balls are no more illegal than hotmelt. They influence flight less than hotmelt can. And, if there's already rattle stop inside the head (very very likely) then it'll immobilize the cotton and it'll be completely legal. If there's no rattle stop, it's $9 from golfworks or Golfsmith.

seller is jt2024 - this is one of his listings. I think he has listings as well for just the weights but I couldn't tell you which ones would fit in the RBZ besides this one.

Do yourself a favor get in touch with Will peoples. He will hot melt the head and put a blank weight in the head. Sound will be better also.

FYI - Hireko now has 2.5, 4, 6 & 8 gram weights for RocketBallz heads.

FWIW, I got a Stage 2 driver (9.5 deg., RocketFuel 50 S shaft) a few days ago. As you may know, these things are 46" long, and I've been playing an R9 SuperTri @ 44.5", so I wanted to shorten it. I blew off the grip (BTW, worst OEM grip tape job I've ever seen), chopped an 1" off, added some extra tape (2 full length wraps plus 2 extra wraps under lower hand) and blew the grip back on. When I put it on the scale the swingweight had gone from D5 (against spec of D6) down to D0, so I needed to add some weight. After applying some heat to the weight screw on the sole with my trusty heat gun, it came off really easy. Then I applied enough hot melt glue (low and between the weight screw and the shaft screw) to get it back to D4, put the weight screw in and voila, D5. It feels good, but I need to get to the range and see how it works.
