Guys it's time that we put together a spot for us to get together and chat. We can't let all the Houston guys have all the fun, Glynn and Kiran are super nice but in truth (don't tell anybody this) that Double Rods guy is a *****.

I work in Corsicana but am getting ready to get a place in Waxahachie so I am a southside suburb boy.

Samm980: Welcome to Big D (and the greater DFW Metroplex!) You may remember, I tried to help out with some course recommendations this past Summer (Tribute, Colonial, etc.). Don't know about hot spots for girls...marrried for 17 years now and counting. LOL! Although, a good friend does own a bar on lower Greenville...

 

Back to golf: I met Joe Kwok and several other WRX'rs at Dallas National a few weeks ago, and had a blast. I know several members there, so we could try to do that again (note: bring humility and extra pellets).

 

Also, I am hoping to put together a "prototype putter testing day" sometime very soon (especially if the weather will warm up a little) to test my newest, latest, greatest much-hyped (and slightly overdue) new putters. Probably at my home course, Stonebridge CC in McKinney. Any interest in participating?

I probably won't be 100% moved in until around the 1st but even now being in Corsicana I am not but an hour or so down the road. If I can make it I will but am here in the golf shop 5 or 6 days a week.

Well, with the holidays and all, it may be better to try to do it after the first anyway. I want to have a good turnout too, and so more advance notice would be better. We may want to envite some of your old buddies from Houston too, or, do another one down there. Your thoughts? -Dave

Head North, man! DN is definately in the cards. Same for Brook Hollow, Royal Oaks, Northwood, Colonial, and a few others... So many great courses, so little time to play. Back to the grindstone. The sooner I finish this batch, the quicker we can test them out. :)

I'd definitely make the trip from Houston up to Dallas for a round with you guys on DN. Playing there (and Colonial) have been on my short list of things to do since moving to Texas. If you ever have an extra spot be sure to let me know.

I was at Colonial the other day and it does not look pretty.
