I played alot of hockey growing up and have just adapted it to my golf game. I tend to lash pretty strongly at the ball

I haven't really attempted to make my backswing any longer. My college coaches never wanted to mess around with it. I would be really interested to see if I could get more power by extending the swing

your pace looks really good going back then all hell breaks lose. I played hockey as well so I can relate to being quick. But damn you are generating a LOT of club head speed from 9:00 down.

i'm not qualified to give advise but damn I'm going back to playing some hockey...

I figured it might be hockey. Funny enough when i went to a Bridgestone ball fitting, they didnt have the right equipment to fit me because I was a lefty. They said most of the fittings for lefties are done in the NE area because of all the hockey players and they generate super fast club head speed. So i can now with the better video on how you do that. Good stuff man. I'd be happy to get the low 120s.

Seems like you keep your right shoulder down through the shot better on the practice range, but on the course it just flies out. Is that something you do when you really want to hit a draw, or is it a byproduct of trying to kill it on the course?

i never really noticed that before. I usually try and go a bit easier on the course to tell you the truth. Im hitting a cobra s9 -1 in the first and a titleist 909 d3 in the second one

Thank you, sir. It's very repeatable for me thankfully. My friends have a hard time understanding how I keep such good balance and not coming out of my shoes on every swing at that speed. Who knows.

So how much did you speed up the video on the latest swing? It looks like it's missing 3 frames on the downswing. What's with all the blur and the speed up at the 1 second mark? Maybe that's what a 128mph swing looks like on video shot at 24 fps.

So with that said, your tempo is basically 5:1, the best swings in the world are at 3:1.

Seriously though, your camera choices are extremely odd.

And of course I am only saying all this because I am jealous, my SS is a measly 108.

Very athletic swing. You definitely have that Tommy-Two-Gloves kind of slash at the ball and use your youthful strength to hammer at it. If you have a solid short game I'm sure you can play some decent golf as 2-Gloves has proven can be done.

Honestly I wouldn't change much and I can see why your college coaches didn't either. If you try to change to a more conventional longer fluid swing your probably going to end up in "Golf Swing Purgatory" until the end of time. I'm just saying don't let people turn you into something your not.


Work on your short game and just enjoy playing the game in your own style!

I wouldn't change anything. The longer the swing the more energy wasted. When I shortened up my swing I gained 10 yards because it made it more compact.

i can agree that posted swings are 120+

i never knew my actual SS until i got on a launch monitor and I was averaging right around 120mph

but on my video it seriously looks like i swing 110mph to my eyes

Mbianchi we have similar swings.... in regard to "unbalanced" finish .... i like to call it the BUBBA JUMP.. and short backswing.. i like!

I would post vids... but theres alot of bashers on here haha
