Best Southern California walking friendly courses

I really enjoy oak quarry out in riverside but it's almost impossible to walk so I am looking for a nice southern California course that is friendly walkers...any suggestions?

Were are you looking to play (area wise) More riverside north or south? If you got into Lake elsinore, temecula there are a handful of easily walk-able courses. Up near the 10/60 goose creek is on that list. PGA Beaumont (I don't know the new name) there is one course that doesn't go thru the canyon that I have walked in a college tourney. I am drawing a blank to the rest right now sorry.

Goose Creek is easily walkable. Very nice course. The PGA Beaumont Courses (now Tukywet Canyon) from the previous poster are horrific to walk. Not walker friendly at all. Long walks from greens to the next tee on many holes. Don't know why he would even mention those as being nice and easy to walk.

Brookside in Pasadena is nice and easy to walk. Costa Mesa CC is easy to walk. General Old in Riverside is an easy walk. The Links at Summerly is ok to walk, but a quirky layout. Outside of this course in Lake Elsinore, I can't think of a single course in the Temecula/Murrieta area that is walker friendly. Rancho Cal, CrossCreek, Redhawk, Temeku Hills, Pechanga, Tem Creek Inn, all discourage walkers and encourage the use of a cart. Most LA County courses are easily walkable with Mountain Meadows probably being the toughest to walk, but many people do walk there. Los Serranos is walker friendly.

Depends what area you're from. Goose Creek is really nice, can get busy but for the amount of traffic it gets, it is one of the most well kept courses in the area. los Serranos is also a good course...LONG if u play tips on the North course. Coming to Orange County, Mile Square Players or Classic courses are nice - this muni prides itself with their nice putting greens. Classic is a tree lined, wide course...Players is open but narrower and has more undulating fairways n greens. Long Beach you can't go wrong with El Dorado, esp after they play the Long Beach open...as Tiger might put it, some of the rough becomes "unplayable"
