Midwest Golf Outing

Who is interested in participating in a Midwest Golf Outing for this coming year?

Grandson's 1st B'day was the weekend of last years and I had to go to Pittsburgh.

Working on the details. When is everyone available. I can't play until June 1 because of my recent operation. So obviously I would like it to be in June or July. Thoughts, comments? We did it in the Chicagoland area last year, it will probably be in the same general area this season.

I think we should have something like a ryder cup format or have team competitions. that would make it more competitive and fun.

late June is excellent for me unless Remax or LD tourney are scheduled on the dates you may be thinking about. A few courses to think about Cinder Ridge just outside of Joliet and Bonvivant in Mantino or Bourbannais, or Seven Bridges in Woodridge.

 

Or any course that I can use my driver, cause if you take that out of my hands I may break 90, you keep the driver in my hands and alot of people will go home with my money in their pockets! lol, A 7500 yard course and wide open will be suffice, thank you.

 

And one more thing if it's not asking too much, to make it on a weekend that the Cubbies are playing the Southsiders? Would love to see the new look Cubs play!

There is also some course out in Marengo that is new. Blackstone i think is the name?

Yeah, I was at Dubs once, I was young, it was the Advil Western Open and Davis Love III won, I think it was 2002 and the club house was under constuction,(or the landscaping was new) course looks fun. were is Marengo? I never heard of it.

Marengo is about an hour west of Chicago. TPC @ Deere Run would be cool but depending on when the outing is, it could run into the preps for the John Deer Classic.

How about Big Run in Lockport? I live less than a mile from it... 7000 yards from the tips, 74.4, 142 (cool)
