I might be interested to play. How about Balmoral Woods in Crete,Il.

Balmoral woods is a nice course, not overly long though, but their pin placements make up for lack of distance, especially on #2, if they put the pin directly on the ridge of the tiers, and you dont knock it tight, have fun! There are a few drivables holes for long hitters.

I don't ever hear anything about Conway Farm.....Has it been renamed or is it just not a good course? I remember 8 or 10 years back that the NCAA Div I played their finals there, just seems like it would have been a good one, although I've not played it. :drinks:

Hey mac, it might have been a nice track back in the day, but this is 2006-07, so don't start to reminence! :drinks:

WHY??.....Don't their sheep keep the greens cropped close enough??...Seriously, I didn't think Conway Farm was that old of course. I seem to remember the sports casters commenting on this course when NCAA Div. I played their finals there back in the mid to late 90's. Just curious. ;)

Hey 400, you picking on me again?? Just wait till we get in the chat.

There are alot of great courses in the Chicagoland area. I work at a course in barrington called Makray Memorial. It used to be know as Thunderbird. It was just redesigned in 2003. It was also ranked at the #12 hardest public course in IL. I can see if maybe we can get a brake in price there. Let me know. I would love to play with you guys.

I don't think I could go if it was that far from me.

Would Wisconsin or Minnesota be out of the question? Just a thought. Minneapolis and surrounding area have some pretty decent courses.

Who is interested in participating in a Midwest Golf Outing for this coming year?

Frank,

This year we should have a scratch tournament. Have everyone put $100 into a pot plus some for skins and host it out at the Dunne or maybe make it a two day and have the second round out at Prestwick... or however. But i think a scratch tourny would be cool if we can find enough players that would get in. Or possibly some kind of team event....but soemthing to make it interesting other than just an outing. what does eveyone think??

I love the team thing but the cash is to high for me, And wouldn't that jepordize my junior status? (I don't really remember but I want to make sure) maybe we can have prizes for the lowest team, or lowest number of putts(maybe a putter as a prize) longest drive(maybe a driver), except IDrive400yards can't play :) and somethig like that, the prizes I said maybe a little high but they are for examples.

Rich

I still want to play Cog Hill

EDIT: I change my mind, I guess I will/would put 100 in, nothing more, preferabley less :) BUT!!! It would have to be team play if I put 100 in
