Agreed, I asked a while back when pre-order date is, but haven't seen a response, so maybe it'll just be 'release date' then get in line as these are going to be a top seller for Cally.

He hasn’t been around in general, lately. I am sure he’ll get back to everyone soon whenever he can and/or provide an update on things. Basically, I wouldn’t count it out yet.

I replied a few days late to the PM. Didn't see it immediately for whatever reason.

We are still working on getting some sets early to pre sell. Was hoping to have some in a few weeks ago but those sets were given over to Tour group who were short. So Chad and I are stealing from another source hopefully.

Irons are now available for pre order from the usual big bag shops. So are the hybrids and a few other goodies. I wanted to order a set but no options in the pre order for c taper shafts.

I checked a few sites, no Custom options yet, just stock offering in shafts which isn't bad, I'll wait for custom options to show up on Cally's website, hopefully soon.

Hi Harry,

Can you tell us more about the Triple Forging process and how it is different from conventional forging? Also there was a rumor these would also come standard with KBS C-taper as a standard option, is this true?

The way I understand it is that it's basically a more thorough forging process that takes extra forging steps to get the head more closely precise to the original design. The forging house says it will deliver the best net result vs. the original and will take out all the impurities of the first forging.

These very possibly will be my next set of irons, it's not a coincidence that the only Cally irons I've owned are X-Prototypes (current) and the 2009 Tour Authentic X-Forged. I REALLY enjoy it when Callaway commits to a players iron because they tend to be awesome...BB

I just did it and ordered a set of these in 4-pw with PXI in 6.0 from Golfsmith. I also ordered a Xhot pro hybrid 3 with the px shaft. They stated my order will ship direct from the manufacture on 2 Jan 13. Sweet. I was going to wait out and get these with some c tapers but I haven't hit the pxi at all yet and thought I have been happy with the results that the px flighted in 6.0 have me in the protos so what the heck lets give these babies a go straight of the shelf unhit and unseen, I hope they are as good as the reports have been. worst case senario I may have to re-shaft them later if the PXI is no good for me. Roll on delivery man with the new toys.

I'm torn on whether I should get rid of my RAZR X Forged now (still have the MBs) and try these beauties out in the New Year!
