Top of the backswing: Cupped, bowed or flat?

Club face will vary based on hands in relation to the face. But I prefer to see it more parallel to spine than toe up

What if you have strong left, neutral right and still end up with bowed left wrist? Incorrect hinge?

I guess when i notice it start to bow more is in the transition. I will try and find some more photos of a longer swing. Would you call this right hand grip neutral even?

That left hand isn't strong. That grip is very neutral. Left wrist there looks fairly flat. Looks to me like you max out right wrist bend but don't really set the club fully. I bet if you set the club more it'll look very different with changing nothing else

I've always had trouble getting the club fully set and right arm bent to 90ish.. Would you say getting left hand a bit stronger can allow more c0ck/set?

That grip isn't preventing you from setting the club. You simply need to do it. Will likely feel very narrow at first

Convinced this is one of my biggest issues, hit some shocking irons today, not total shanks but thrashed across them with a mix of the shank and an open clubface leading to 45 degree cuts!

I could do that. Something on how open you are at impact is dependant on the location of the arms and how they work. I'm open to ideas for future articles

old topic, I have been trying a bowed or square left wrist but I don't rotate that well and I can loose it left . If I cup I create far more speed and better flight , make sense? different swings may need different hand action/position to create desired flight and speed.
