True Temper TT Lite XL Iron Shafts (.335")

Anyone have any info on this particular iron shaft? I am planning on reshafting a set of Titliest AP1 (2008) irons. This is just a novice club making project and not my primary set of irons, so not looking at spending a bundle, but at least want them to see some range time.

Any input appreciated, thx, golfmorr.....

Make sure you get .355 and not .335. They are middle of the road mid flight iron shafts. True to flex and with a nice smooth feel.

Good shafts and quite cheap that play much firmer than the rated flex. BTW, .335 is a wood shaft and you probably meant .355 taper tips.

I didn't like them. Strictly a feel issue though, ball flight seemed mid and pretty true. They didn't feel like DG to me, maybe I shouldn't have expected them to. Maybe a better hitters shaft than swingers?

Heavybladed, can you offer a feel perspective on these shafts? Can you compare them to other shafts you have tried in regards to feel? Did they feel stiffer than than stated flex and what made them not feel like DG? I'm thinking about trying one of these out to see if they are a fit for me.

TT Lite does play firm to flex. Flys in the face of some current shafts that play like a wet noodle. Good shafts and a great value.

[/quote]The TT XL reminded me of the older PX shafts. I think firm would be the best description. Not bad, but the harder I swung the better they felt. I wonder if people maybe gave them the reputation as stiff to flex due more to feel than frequency. The R300/S300 DG's feel more familiar to me and they seem to feel the same on every shot regardless of contact quality or effort. I thought there was a much more distinct feeling of loading and unloading in the R/S300's.
