1st Deal on Ebay that I have been ripped off!

Horrible...what should I do?

I bought a
Tour Issue Taylor Made R7 off ebay that was shafted with an Ozik Lime Green Code-8 and the auction stated that the club work was PGA certified and authentic 100%. That the shaft was very rare and in great shape at 44 1/2 inches tipped half an inch. So the other day I am just about ready to install it into another head when the club pro pulls off the old grip and sees there is a 3 1/2 to 4 inch extension in the butt to make it that length and it looks like the shaft was broken and tried to be fixed. The ozik was alredy preped ready to go into my driver which has a little bit longer hosel and I want a full refund from the guy....but it will not look perfect when being putt back in the R7 driver. What should I do?? I do not want to be down 325.00. And I do not want the shaft to go in my 3 wood?? Lets hear some suggestions on what I should do?

i wonder if the seller even knew...i wonder if it came from the factory like that...

 

either way, i think you are going to have to bargin with the seller cause you cant give it back to him how you got it...you may want to just file a complaint with paypal(?) and see what happens since it was broken

To me that is fraud . I would file with ebay if the seller will not take back.

Your problem is that you have pulled and prepped the shaft which will make things difficult even if you do return it to the seller. If the work was PGA certified then I presume he could have taken it back and had a go at the PGA pro that did it. Not sure where you stand now. I think you may have to compromise with the seller unless he is extremely protective of his feedback.

An extension of 3 1/2 to 4 inches being PGA certified? Always thought that extensions of 1 1/2 inches were the max stabilitywise...or was that for steel extensions?

 

Anyways, the seller probably won't be happy, but the auction was for a 44 inch shaft and not for a 41 inch shaft made to look like a 44 inch shaft. So file a PayPal complaint for "item not as described" and your chances should be quite good. Reading the auction description it doesn't say anything about a repair job. IMHO the seller should have disclosed the repair on the shaft (if he actually had any knowledge of it) and therefore you should be entitled to a return or at least a partial refund.

Hmmm.....if he put the Brand New Lamkin Grip on then he would have spotted it. I also just have a bad feel about the guy looking at his feedback. I hope you get your money back as I just feel he is a dodgy seller.

the seller obviously knew what he was doing, look at the club head pic, it doesnt have a lime green shaft installed, looks ION

 

doubtful the seller is really a PGA pro, if he is and didnt know about the shaft, he would take it back in a heartbeat

Looking at the items that he has purchased it seems that he bought it on ebay on Nov 15th for $152.50. He then put in the Ozik knowing the problems with the shaft & dumped it off on you. I would tell him the truth & that is when you found out that he lied about the shaft.

hmmm every thing he sells is done by pga pro, if he is really a pga pro he should refund or exchange it it all about pga professionalism. i believe hes just a crook and you were the scape goat sorry to say. wish you the best of luck

When he says it is a stiff flex tipped .5" and frequencies out to 276 that tells you something is up. No way the shaft should be that stiff. Interesting, I thought about that one, but the 44" deal turned me off.

I beleive there was a sticker on the butt of the shaft that said 78g and 263 frequency ....I think?

I thought u said that the butt was cut 3.5-4" so how would there be a sticker
