Didn't Wilson once have a shaft that was half steel and half graphite. I don't recall it being around for very long. I believe it was called Bimatrix.

Edit: it may have been Adams, I don't recall.
Bi-matrix is still around, Bubba uses one in his driver.
I must not be remembering the name correctly. This was probably ten years ago, maybe?
2010. The Half and Half shaft. Seriously.
I got Wilsons last year and these were an option. I will try and play anything (chippers, 650cc drivers, squares, triangles, etc) my group always teases me. But I could not do these shafts. They were hideous. Would not even try them.

I still have a bi-matrix shaft 2 hy-bird from Adams. Do not game it anymore, but still take it to the driving range every once in awhile. I remember the titanium shafts. A tour pro on his way to Firestone, played a round with them when I was a caddy. He said they would be the next best thing after the alumium shaft fiasco.

Has there been any clubs by major oem's that were just flops
Tommy Armour EQL in the late 90s. It was a model intro that turned them from a top company to literally putting them out of business in a year.
The EQL was around from 1989 to 1994, same time frame as the original 845s and certainly the best period that company ever had.

The TI100 in 1997 was the beginning of the end, followed by a few years of trading on their once iconic 845 brand.

Fila Latitude anti-shank ONSET irons. So bad and so unpopular that there only seems to be two pictures of them on Google images, and those pics still fail to show the true hideousness of said clubs...
I've hit these. They're a bit strange looking, but they're actually pretty solid.

Gee, with all the guys on here who hate offset, you'd think they'd love these.

It just hit me!

I remember Arnold Palmer advertising a driver that didn't have a grip on the shat... You had to wear a special glove to use it... I swear I'm not kidding!

Anyone else remember this??
i do remember that

The fact that they pay players the most money, by far, to game their equipment has nothing to do with that...right?

What Nike pays players to game their clubs has nothing to do with their quality of their recent offerings. They make just as good of equipment as other OEM's out there. The hate Nike receives has nothing do with their recent quality, it's people crying about how much they pay their athletes.

Tiger woods doesn't play nike without the bags of money he gets from nike. Rory does not play nike unless he receives bags of money nearly as great as those that tiger receives.

What about that Nike "unitized" putter (I think that is what it was called)?

Head and shaft all made from one piece of steel, or something like that.

I hit it a few times... it felt good, but I never saw anyone with one in the bag.

How about the Nike IC series. Putters were all green color. They lasted about one season or so. I still have one!

Never saw one irl
Saw a 3 wood once, this gets my vote.
I own a 3 and 5 wood and they are still the best offering tm has come out with. They will never be replaced. But on a sales perspective..... Terrible. They were close to $350msrp just for a fw. I got mine used

Scotty Cameron Futura.

I still have nightmares thinking about that club. My girlfriend gave it to me as a Christmas present. Because it was a gift, I actually tried using it. Big mistake.

99% if the game improvement junk advertised on the Golf Channel and of course "The Hammer" Driver by Jack Hamm who is maybe the ultimate flop!

Although TM R11 irons didn't become very popular, they were good irons. As for the xFT wedges, also a good product, just never really saw them in many other than TM staffers bags. Still probably as many of them still being played today as there are ATV Wedges
