OK, Tralee, Royal Portrush and RCD. No dispute there.

But The Brabazon? Does that really belong in the same list as those other three (haven't played Las Colinas)? I would pay good money to go and play RCD, but I wouldn't play The Brabazon if you paid the green fee for me.

I loved the Brabazon - I'm a big Ryder Cup Fan and that possibly gave it a bit of a buzz for me - it was in great condition and i hope to play it again soon - p.s I'm lucky i get a lot of corporate golf offers so someone did pay the green fee for me

Las Colinas is one of the Q School Courses halfway between Alicante and Murcia- i have a house 10 mins away from it and it is pure class

Im a member at Ardglass, just up the coast from RCD and get tom play it a few times a year - but i personally prefer Tralee TBH

Good condition, usually, sure, but I thought it was a bunch of boring holes punctuated by a few that were memorable but not necessarily for a good reason. I have played it a few times, checking I was not getting it wrong, but I haven't changed my mind! Horses for courses.

I'd rather play Ardglass any day!

Just recently played my 500th course worldwide,so picking just 5 !!..is very difficult,but here goes....
1..Sand Hills..Played 7 rounds in 2000,and can still remember every shot,like it was yesterday.
2..Woodhall Spa..The layout is excellent..the bunkers..PENAL...Just a great test.
3..Kingston Heath..Just a great layout in a small space.
4..Pacific Dunes..A magnificent links..As good as you get in Scotland..Turf,Bunkers,Wind..It has it all..
5..Royal St. Georges..Awesome..A fantastic course,and not a flat lie on any fairway.A test !!

Honourable mention to Carnoustie,St. Andrews,Turnberry,West Sussex,Hayling Island,Bandon Dunes,Metropolitan,Ballybunion Old,The Addington.

The Belfry get in my top 500 at 683...Sorry to the fan of it..But it wasn,t for me..

Would love to play the great courses in the US but my best are all UK courses

1. Carnoustie Championship by a large margin
2. Turnberry Ailsa - stunningly scenic on a good clear day
3. Sunningdale Old - beautiful old English heathland course
4. Gullane No1 - great course even better views
5. North Berwick West - a real traditional Scottish links

Honourable mentions to The Old Course, Royal Birkdale, Formby, Caroustie Burnside, Nairn and Hoylake

HCEG Muirfield is great course but too much rough for me
Not a fan of Royal Dornoch's upturned saucer greens though plenty are
Royal Troon I found bland and long

It's funny for me with Forest Dunes... I absolutely love playing the course. Its has a lot of fun holes, its in immaculate condition and is in the middle of this preserved forest. No houses anywhere near the course. It's kind of funny when you pull it up on google maps satellite view.

The course was in Top 100 (T-99) on the Golf Digest big boy list but it has since fallen off. It certainly deserves more credibility as it's better than many top 100 courses I have played,
