Nike Covert 2.0 With Fujikura 757 X- Broke my 757 that was in my G25 in our Member/Member tourney last weekend and put the nike demo in play and killed it. So it's no staying in the bag. Atleast until Fuji will warranty my other shaft and probably after too!

Picked up a BB Alpha on the Cheap that I'm messing around with...

Paint fill and stamping on the wedges and putter are still a work in progress.. I just can't leave them with my guy long enough to finish them! But I love the work so far!

Next Change will Probably Be to the Ping G30 Line… Loved the G25 Gear so assuming the G30 will be even better!

Putter is still a revolving door. Finally got fitted on a SAM Lab and it recommended a face balanced putter so I'm giving a few a try. Hard to put the Scotty in closet but if I make more putts I don't care what putter it is!

Played with the Bertha yesterday and it was solid but brought left back into play! I have been able to keep left out with the Nike... Nike will prob stay in the bag until the G30 is out!

Ya I should have learned my lesson after the first one! For some reason it just has a great feel at impact and then the honeymoon was over when I couldn't find the ball!

Crazy how people have opposite of me with alpha. I am more consistent with alpha than with the SLDR I played with for almost a year. Excited about the G30 release as well. That will be tested for sure.

I ended up really really liking the X2HP 8.5* over the Alpha or SLDR. I like how it feels, it goes straight and is relatively long due to staying in the fairway more! The Ping Anser is a close 2nd.

I can definitely see the Alpha being more consistent than the SLDR. I hit the SLDR off the world and never liked the feel of it. I know everyone raves about the SLDR and it's a good head but never that great to me. The Alpha had much better feel and was longer.

Tried the X2HP for a few rounds and the thing was a cannon but I just didn't fall in love with it. Still a great driver. The anser is one of the few that I have never gamed. I've hit one before and it felt great but never threw one in the bag and played a round with it. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Never really thought about ease of use. They are all pretty easy to use. For me they were to match the bag, I actually like the leather Iliac covers the best!

Face Balanced and counter Balanced seems like the way to go for me. Took some time on the course and practice to get used to a mallet but it is money for me now. The Odyssey will be in the bag until Scotty makes something similar. The only thing I really miss is the deep milled feel. My G30 is ordered in an 8.5 with a Fuji 757X from Ping WRX. I hit the G30 demo on the store today and was pretty impressed. More of a solid feel than the G25. The feel is right in between the i25 and the G25 which is perfect to me. I hit it with the stock Ping Tour S flex in it which actually felt pretty good. Seemed to launch a little lower. Spin was actually a little lower too even with a factory shaft so the 757 should have me right were I want to be... I also hit the hybrid which I really liked and will be ordering soon. Didn't hit the fairway because it would take an act of god to get the Fourteen fairway out of my bag. I'll post the results in a couple weeks when the driver comes in! It's going to be tough to take away the consistentcy of the Covert 2.0 Tour but I think good things will come from the G30!

Ahh the 64's.... Great club with the usual mizuno buttery feel but the swing was struggling a bit at the time so I switched to the RBZ tours because they were so easy to hit it was like cheating and I need to get out of a mid season slump. They served their purpose and then I moved on to another set of forged MB's.

The Ping is in! The G30 driver came in middle of last week and it has yet to see a ball. I've been in the middle of playing tourneys and haven't had time to work with it. So until it's battle tested the Covert is still in the bag. I did pickup a G30 3-19* Tour Hybrid with the X-Flex stock shaft and I'm very impressed. It went straight into the bag. The feel is much more solid and not as tinny as the G25. It also sets up more more square and carries about 10 yards further. Hopefully I'll break in the G30 Driver next week and get some updates!

Will also need the yearly wedge set... May go back to Scratch Forged or a Custom Set of Fourteen Wedges...

R15 stint was short lived! Did you have the 460 or 430cc head in the driver?

Also, is the same 757 Evo in the Nike head or is it the Motore 757? Can you elaborate on your experience with the two shafts if indeed it is the two different models?
