What cameron head cover is that?
It's an old club Cameron headcover, 2011. I used to update every year but I stopped with that one. Just thought it looked cool. :)

I do like that one, and the material looks durable

It's definitely durable, had it for 4 years and doesn't look much different.

We all have Pure to thank!!! I posted in my WITB, I did not hit the 430 on Trackman. I can tell just by watching the flight that is low enough spin, I am going to get it on the course to see how it stacks up. If it ends up making the bag I will probably setup some Trackman time just to dial it in.

I really wish the 430 came in black, what are your thought on the white vs black?

Love reading this stuff.. reminds me of the old WRX days! Pure is one drink away from going back all Titleist :) JJK you need to make a trip out to So Cal.

How many drinks until it's an all Cobra bag? :drinks:

I do miss the old WRX days. It didn't seem like brand bias got in the way as much then, who knows though it's been a long time. And it just goes to show how good all of the stuff is now, you can build 2 or 3 bags and shoot the about same scores with all of them. There's a TPI at Manchester Lane in Mass. I figure I should at least do the Driver/FW fitting if I can get an appointment this summer.

And yeah, I'd go anywhere there isn't snow on the ground but So Cal sounds pretty nice!

I had a short hit with the R15 3 wood when I tried out the drivers. Nothing there that's wildly different from the SLDR's. I kill the 17* SLDR (turned up to 17.5 or 18) for some reason, and I've had a ton of clubs in that 17-18 degree loft range. If I change anything it will be the aeroburner TP or maybe the TP mini. I only hit 3 wood off the tee for the most part anyway. My pet project is to get out and try all the 915 woods at some point this summer.

You thinking of any changes or are the TI RBZ's holding down the fort pretty well?

If you start looking into fairways be sure to try the 915s, especially if you like the SLDRs. Just as good on the center of the face, but a lot better off center.
My plan is to demo them as soon as I get a chance (probably May based on almost zero availability where I am in Virginia). If I like them enough I will do a driver/FW fitting at the TPI at Acushnet HQ in Massachusetts.

They are a pretty safe bet, I haven't heard too many people have anything negative to say other than complaint about cleaning dirt from the ARC.

Regarding the 430, one thing I noticed is that it feels really hot off the face, do you feel the same?
The sound and feel is 100% better on the R15. That's why I bought it without testing it a whole lot, figured it would be a safe bet. The face does feel more lively and softer than the SLDR which felt a little dead/muted, whatever you want to call it. I like that kind of sound but I like to feel like it's coming off hot too. I also have a 6.2 TS on the way for the 430.

I honestly have not hit the 430 or the 14 SLDR 3 wood on the course yet and it's killing me to look at them. I've got two more weeks before spring break and if the snow hasn't melted by then I'm going to Tampa. :partytime2:

Ive tried some, but cannot find anything that's challenging them for a spot in the bag. Most likely if anything I would surmise , it will be a 915 F/FD or R15s since my shafts from the TI RBZ's will fit at least the R15 head heads. Only hit the R15 5w with a speeder 757 in it, quite the impressive head IMOP - 150cc R15 are pretty small - the proto TI RBZ2 I think are close to the R15 head size..

Tested just a little bit the 915 heads with a Stock D+ WHITE 80s, which I do not think it's a fair comparison to the TI RBZ2(hotmelted) with a PRO 95x tipped an inch, but I just love the way 915's set up, classic and confidence inspiring. 906F2 where some of the best fw's ive ever bagged.

Im still on a driver quest, going to maybe bag a R15 430

I'm not a fan of the SLDR and R15 19* 5 wood heads. They are too small and the face is too shallow, I also find them to launch and spin more than the 3HL head set to the same loft (18*). The face depth and shape on your TI RBZ2 18.5* looks much better to me than the SLDR/R15 19*.

I would be much more tempted to give the 915's a try before the R15 fairways. If they had made an 18* in the FD I might have bought a set by now but I'm unlikely to buy anything else from now on unless I get to try it first. I played the 904F and the 906F2 for a long time. Titleist FW's always looked the best to me but I got off track with the 909's, they were terrible IMO.

You should definitely give the 430 a try when you get a chance. Huge improvement over the SLDR in every way. Not sure how you felt about the sound/feel on the SLDR 430 but this one feels much softer and springy and the sound is more typical TM, back to the R9/R7 days. You'll want to try the 9.5* head and probably adjust the loft down some.

JJK947,
I went with a R15 3HL TP with the 757X speeder and it has been awesome. I tried various (10+) combinations of SLDR 3, 3HL, and 5 woods and had terrible luck at getting any consistency. Good was good but bad was really bad. The R15 was significantly better for me. At least try it out. Still not sold on the driver but the 3HL is very locked in.

Thanks, you're right on the SLDR. They're not the easiest to hit but FW's are one of the best parts of my game and I hit them a lot. I haven't really hit any really bad ones on the course with the 3HL yet.

What loft are you playing the R15 at? Did you get any numbers for comparison between R15 and SLDR or is it more just trying it out and seeing on the course? Replacing my current SLDR 3HL with the R15 would be pretty easy but I'm also looking at the AB TP and the 915's.

I hit the Aeroburner but I typically play an 80X in a fairway and the aeroburner shafts were so far away from that that it was hard to get a nice comparison. I like the R line because I switch the shafts in and out without having to buy completely different clubs. I'm playing the R15 3HL at 17 degrees as a three wood and it carries right in between between my hybrid and my driver. I would say it's carrying fairly similar distances to the SLDR's. The SLDR 3 and 5 woods were good for me on good shots but it seemed like I would hit one good one, one right, and one left. I really like a club when it only misses one way. The R15 in the 3 rounds has been an absolute machine. I don't hit a whole lot of fairway woods on my course but found myself trying to use it in some extra situations because it felt so comfortable. I'm pretty excited about it for 2015 because my fairway was definitely the weak link last year for me. Good luck in your testing!

Whats the status of the SLDR woods, R15's in the future?
I had a short hit with the R15 3 wood when I tried out the drivers. Nothing there that's wildly different from the SLDR's. I kill the 17* SLDR (turned up to 17.5 or 18) for some reason, and I've had a ton of clubs in that 17-18 degree loft range. If I change anything it will be the aeroburner TP or maybe the TP mini. I only hit 3 wood off the tee for the most part anyway. My pet project is to get out and try all the 915 woods at some point this summer.

You thinking of any changes or are the TI RBZ's holding down the fort pretty well?

Do you guys know if they make heavier weights? I want D3 44.5", I'm thinking the stock head weight will be closer to D0 when I cut it down.
You'll be lucky if it's D0. They're stock D4 with an 80 gram shaft @ 45.5". 1" is 6 SW points.

I asked and there aren't any weights that they have available to change out, just the stock ones. Maybe tour issue through a guy like will peoples would be the only way to get them if they exist? Or go to the store and pop one off a new head when nobody is looking so you have 3 weights. Probably just a matter of time before you see some aftermarket chinese weights like with the SLDR.

Jeez.... What a pain, I'll email Will and see what he says. When I ordered my D3 at the exact same specs it game exactly as ordered. TMAG is putting me to work.
Did you order the R15 at a specific SW and length? I'm sure they would have gotten it to D3 at 44.5 but then there was the tipping issue. It does seem like a pain in the a**. Titleist is just much better at custom orders, and the fact that they have a changeable weight for this exact purpose.
