Did you order the R15 at a specific SW and length? I'm sure they would have gotten it to D3 at 44.5 but then there was the tipping issue. It does seem like a pain in the a**. Titleist is just much better at custom orders, and the fact that they have a changeable weight for this exact purpose.

The builder I use was hesitant to have TMAG build the club, he was going to get in the stuff and build it to spec himself.

I'm just messing around with stuff until the real season starts. Titleist demo day in a couple weeks will be very telling. 850 driver is VERY legit, try it out if you can.

How are the Titleist woods working out?

The 850's have been picking up a good following on here. The woods seem to get better with each iteration. Being a self confessed TM fanboy it takes a lot to play a different driver but this one delivers so far. I love that Mizuno doesn't eff around with stock shaft offerings either, very solid across the board.

You been out to play much yet? No idea how the weather has been up there.

Weather picked up pretty quick down here in VA and I've been playing a good amount. Haven't been able to put in a ton of practice though so looking forward to doing that when I get home.

I did. Better dispersion as expected and a tighter ball flight. Launch went down a tad as well but I'm really happy with it right now. May look into something higher launching as well just to see what happens. Cinnamon 65 X would have been pretty nasty in the 850 to counter the lower launch and spin. Too bad you missed that one.

By no means a lock or overly thought out move. Just experimenting a little based on some reviews and got some very good deals on them so I figured I'd try them out. They're the type of club I should know what's up in a couple rounds or range sessions.

Been toying with the 915 line, which I really like , however, got a set of Tour Issue SLDR's coming my way - im a typical wrx idiot, sold my SLDR TS 3w head, so scooped up another, went higher loft this round on a SLDR 460 @ 9.5

The long irons in the MP4 are just so much more pure than the MP15 long irons I had for a while.

I agree the 915 line is solid, but I'm still knocking around my SLDR fairways too. TS head set to 13* playing a little longer and the 3HL head set to 18* is a great combo for me. I got a chance to demo the FD with the D+ 80x side by side. No numbers but performance was pretty similar. 915 was a little easier to hit, SLDR was a little longer.

Surprise of the year for me is the 850 driver. Again no numbers as of yet but Fly Z+, R15 and G30 LS were taken down pretty easily outdoors with pretty good shaft setups in all of them.

Pretty locked except for lob wedge. You still playing the 60L at all or do you like the TVD M better?

Had kind of a disappointing season this year so haven't been playing much the last couple months as other things are going on. Joining a new private club did not go as well as I hoped and my game actually went backwards a bit. Want to get back into competitive amateur events next year so I'm going to start gearing up for that soon and will probably be on a lot more.

Yeah, as ridiculous as the thing is on the range I've been having one or two foul balls per round that I need to get rid of. I may just keep it though.

Yeah, I was talking to him a little about the 915s a few months back after he stopped posting. I think that's probably the way I'm going to fill out the bag. Stuff you don't have to mess with too much and know it's going to be consistent and perform.

As far as the private club, I think just the way I spent my time changed a lot. I've always done a lot of my practicing on the course as opposed to the range. At the club I've been doing the more traditional mix of range sessions and 9/18 hole rounds playing one ball. Got a little sick of it and I haven't played much in the last couple months. Been doing a lot of biking, running and tennis and dropped 15 lbs so I feel good about getting my swing right for next year. Definitely helps with flexibility and generating speed.

How's your game been? Looks like the clubs have been pretty stable for better part of this year.

Bag's been pretty solid. This year has probably been one of my best years of golf yet, but my tournament play has been so-so. Started taking lessons about a month ago and want to get things a bit more consistent. 15lbs is awesome, good for you man. Once I stop enjoying the game and the people I play it with, I know I need to take time away and focus on the things in life that matter to me most so I definitely get where you're coming from. I got elected to our MGA Board with makes me get burnt out really quick, some of the politics and amazing things that grown men do are just shocking. Next year is the last of my term and I will never run again Let me know if you're ever out west, I'll get SS out for a round.

Just bought a T-MB 2 iron, love my 712u but if i could get a hair more launch would be perfect!

Irons - rock solid , Driver battle between a OLD Superfast TP 2.0 LCG and a Tour issue Aeroburner TP 8.5* head. both heads are awesome, have two different shafts, looking like the Matrix 8m3 is working better for my swing. Bit surprising as the Matrix is a full flex stiffer.

Built a Tour Issue AB 3w , with 12 grams of hot melt, sounds and feels like a wooden baseball bat, love it

Jacked with the putter just slightly, little lead tape and little larger Cameron Grip.

VT needs a WITB change, Beamer for Foster, ASAP

Some years I get burnt out a little more than others. This year was just one of those years. As much as we all love golf on here it does help sometimes to do some other things for a while and come back to it. Can't imagine having to deal with golf politics on a regular basis. Guessing you got into it trying to make a positive impact but just became a hassle. I would definitely take you up on that offer if I'm ever out there.

Always looking forward to how the bag will shape up when all the new stuff comes out.

Agreed about that last part. I think it's been time for a year or two now.

How would you rate aeroburners vs the 915's you had? I had the ABTP fairway briefly but went back to my SLDR.
