How much does Stevie W. rake in?

Just wondering how much ya'll think Steve Williams pulls down in a year as Tiger's caddie.

 

I tend to think he's close to 7 figures, but a friend thinks he makes no more than 100-200 grand.

I bet he gets a salary and a percentage of winnings. I dont think he is hurting at all!

I'm sure that Tiger and Steve have a special arrangement, but I think the standard is around 5% of winnings with anywhere from 8-12% for a victory. That's not counting all the free stuff (i.e. cars) that Tiger gives Steve when he wins them. So I would guess that Steve is around 7 figures easy.

I've read before that caddies get 6-7% of earnings, 10% if the player wins. Not sure if that is accurate or if that's Stevie's deal.

 

Do the math...at that rate, he's made more than a million already just on salary.

Tiger may be mean in some areas but he would not want to lose Stevie for anything and the guy is not going to stick with Woods for so long if he only drops him a few hundred $$'s

That is a well guarded secret ( confidentiallity agreement ). I think the above is very probable though. I would say Stevie is pulling seven figures a year once everything is said and done.

There was a saying a few years back (2000 - 2002) that Stevie would be the 2nd leading money winner on Tour. It's probably not far from the truth.

well considering Tiger wins all the time Stevie has been getting that 10% for a while now. I also know that he has his own indorsement deals such as Valvoline...and like youll said, im sure tiger wants to keep him so hes not gonna be mean to him and not give him stuff like winnings and prizes

He doesn't make a % of winnings, like most caddies. He is on a salary that was reported to be about 1 million a couple years back. Greg Norman did this with his caddy back in his prime because giving him standard caddy percentages was ridiculous.

 

I promise you Stevie is not taking 10% of Tigers wins.
