Dream road trip

Just thought I would share the great "Dream road trip" I finished today....My wife and I did the trip over a 6 week period and have just returned home. Left Vancouver BC and drove all along the Wash., Oregon and Calif. coast through LA and onward to Phoenix and Tucson....headed home through central Calif. and then back out to the coast again. Along the coast and home to Canada. Total of just over 9000 Km (5640 Miles) and played golf pretty much every other day........ Here is a list of all the courses.....

No "passive brag" here..........started the trip as a 1.6 H'cap index...finished as a 0.4... :swoon:

Favourite course?? Bandon Dunes ...Hands down!! Anyone one of the four main courses would fit the bill.

On man oh man oh man, soooooooo envious. Thank you for starting this thread and sharing the pictures. My sister lives in Santa Barbara and I get out there every second year, I love the west coast and all the scenic golf it has to offer.

Wow, unreal trip, congrats! I take it you're retired to take a 6 week long road trip. Your wife must also be a player to want to do something like that. I would have probably swung by Vegas for a few days, but other than that looks like the perfect trip.

Nope...not retired...My avatar and signature should give a clue to where I work . My wife is not a golfer but loves to travel and really enjoys walking (Or riding) the courses with me. We were headed towards Vegas but the weather turned cold so that will have to wait for another trip.

[/quote]oh okay, I just thought you were a fan of their equipment. Very cool you got to do that trip all while on the clock so to speak. Miura has a very strong following among those that know the brand. Personally I've never played the clubs, but I've heard all good things.

Thanks.....I am used to shooting those kind of numbers but when you do it on any of the Bandon Dunes tracks it is pretty special....I wish I had the time and lived near enough to play there more......I have now played all 5 courses at the Dunes...But once only per track...it [i][b]IS[/b][/i] golf paradise.
Oddly enough ,,in 2 trips and 5 rounds on 5 different days I have had sun and warm weather every time....wind but clear skies every time.........lucky me!!

Alas...CB will have to wait for another trip....Probably in the spring....I hope!!! So many great courses...so little time
