Anyone played either of these drivers, i am thinking about taking up the offer from callaway preowned for buy one get one 75%off which makes the diablo edge tour only $18.. seems like a good deal and i am wanting a open faced driver so this may be what i need.

Some have said that the DET driver is really long, but I can't get past the way it sets up at address (looks closed) and harsh feel. The FT Tour and Razr Hawk Tour, IMO, are two of the best drivers they have made, if the composite doesn't crack and if you like the muted feel of the composite. I've owned one FT Tour and 3-4 RHTs, and none of mine have cracked. I'd look into the FT-Tour or RHT, especially if you want something with an open FA.

I can look past the muted feel for a open set up, I have hit both clubs before but it has been a while, at the time i hit them i was looking for a closed face driver because my swing wasnt very good but now I draw the ball and kinda fear the left so i think 1 degree or 2 degrees open would be a nice change look at for a bit. Another question, does the stock 9.5 head in both launch low or high? The FT Tour has a Aldila VooDoo VS6 Graphite X-stiff shaft in it and the Diablo Edge Tour has an Aldila Habanero Tour Graphite stiff shaft

I played the DET for about two seasons and absolutely loved it with an aftermarket Matrix Xcon 6. Really underrated head in my opinion. For me the DET had a low-mid launch and I never had any complaints concerning overall distance. Never had any trouble with it going left either. Haven't played the FT Tour but know it has a very loyal following (except for the fact that many people complain about the head falling apart). If you can find the right shaft, I would argue that either head would stack up well against anything available today.

I have the FT Tour and love it! One of the best all around drivers I have ever hit. I haven't made up my mind about the VooDoo shaft. This thing is as long as any modern driver out there on center hits. Less forgiving with off center hits as expected. Penetrating ball flight, low spin, low to medium trajectory. I liked it so much that I bought a back up just in case it breaks. Be careful reshafting it; apparently the heat used to pull a shaft affects the seam between the metal and carbon fiber body, and that is why these heads have been cracking. One clubmaker recommended drilling out the shaft rather than using heat. I have had no problems with mine so far. Also love the Razr Hawk Tour. Struggle each time I play to decide between taking out the FT Tour, RHT, and RFE driver.

I've only hit the FT tour, but I loved it. Pretty demanding club in terms of ball striking though. You have to hit that sucker well, as it isn't very forgiving, but when you do. Forget about it. Bombs all day long. I looked at the CPO site, saw the club with the voodoo vs6x you were talking about. Honestly though, if I were you I'd opt to spend just a little more, and by little I mean 40 bucks, and get the one with the Kaili 70x. I've hit both the Kaili and Voodoo(granted in different drivers) and the Kaili was hands down better for me in terms of feel, launch and spin. Don't know about the DET driver, never hit one. I did have the DET fairway for a while though, and that thing was an absolute BEAST.

Well I ordered both clubs and I plan on reshafting Them if the stock shafts don't work out for me. Can't wait to see how they play. I just put together a taylormade sf 2.0 with a xstiff bimatrix and it sets up closed and I don't like it. It will be for sale soon.

Just got my order from Callaway Preowned today, got the FT tour with a Aldila Voodoo XVS6 extra stiff flex shaft, and a Diablo Edge Tour with the stock Aldila Habanero 60-S stiff flex shaft. The DET is new but the FT Tour said it was used but looks like brand new to me. Here are a few pics of my 3 drivers, I plan on selling two of them and keeping one..just not for sure yet which one im going to keep..

Very nice. Love the look of the FT-Tour still. That's how CPO rolls, they are almost always conservative in their ratings of used clubs. Enjoy them and post your thoughts whenever you get a chance.

Thanks, I will post my thoughts when i can hit them, we just got 6 inches of snow here in Oklahoma so it will be a few days before i can go hit them. The FT Tour does set up and swing nice though, the weight feels perfect haha.

Interesting. Your clubs look very good. I just bought an odyssey tank putter from their preowned site and paid extra for "like new"condition. It came in and the top of the putter head has 4 long scratches and one gouge. It's going back. My Dart putter with over 50 rounds looks better.

I've reshafted my three FT Tours (8.5°,9.5°, and 10.5°) several times each. The key is to put a liberal amount of Golfwork's Club Shield Paste (http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=GW1039) on the seam between the club face and the body. Using a torch only aimed at the hossel and working quickly with a shaft puller, I've never had the seam on my FT Tours fail.
