Is the limited black blade the tourney blade?

Is the Mb 001 smaller than the tourney blade?

I know the Mb 001 has some sole relief grind but is it closer in size to baby blade or tournament blade?

I'm trying to decide if ebay will do and I'll find something for 800 and reshaft or should I actually go for the mb001?

Does anyone want to sell me some baby blades in great shape for under a grand?

^ agreed

The MB001 run about $225 per club. I'd personally get fit for the mb001's, that way there is no doubt about whats right or isn't. Plus it's a current blade model and won't be replaced with a newer model for years (at least of that similarity). Your going to spend 1k or so no matter which route, so might as well invest the extra few hundred and eliminate that nagging "what if" scenario.

The "Limited Forged" black blades are the TB in black
The TB is smaller than the MB 001...for comparison........ the BB is smallest...TB is next smallest and the MB 001slightly larger than the TB and is more like a right hand version of the LH Blades...

Does that help?
Yes it helps. I'm a little surprised though, I thought the Mb001 were smaller then the tb's.

Do you own a set of these? Are they better/worse then the other two or just bigger with more leading edge relief?

Thanks, I've been fit but you could be right about getting the new ones.

I have the 301 s and the baby blades. I am a 6 hdcp and have come down from a ten all while using BB. The BB are more forgiving than they appear. They are not hard to hit. Buy used they are easy to bend and you can always reshaft. I have changed every club in my bag several times except for the BB. I have had four different shafts in mine KBS tours,KBS ctapers,I95 steel fibers and now the best for me recoil protos 125 f5. I love the feel and the look. I honestly would have never bought the BB if I did not already own the 301s. I thought worst case scenario I had my 301 s. I have not played the 301s in 3 years. Just 1 hacks perspective.

If you're gonna get the TBs....might as well get 'em in Black.

BBs have an amazing feel and are just as solid as anything you can ever imagine. That thought is based on me hitting on a perfectly flat driving range. I tested a BB 6 iron and TB 6 iron for a few weeks and even changed shafts. I went with the TB...and I'm as happy with these clubs as when I got my first set of MP-14s in college.

I know you're a good player and your buddy Thrillhouse might have even played BBs? But I gotta tell you Man....their ain't much steel at the bottom of the shaft.

I have nothing to add about the 001s because I've not hit them. Supposedly the shape of the head make the club look more upright and will give you a better view of the ball. I really don't understand that because when I got my hands on one at my club maker and put it down on the carpet and placed a ball down....it looked just about the same as any other blade.

They are pretty clubs.

Yup....I have a set of TB Black...PP 9003...and just recently got my MB 001's....IMHO the MB 001's are much nicer than the TB's...hard to quantify that ... but I just hit them better...higher flight and a little bit longer in the air. I think the slightly larger head gives me a better feeling over the ball...Played them yesterday and shot 74 in cold damp conditions....Pretty happy with that!!

OK guys here is the direct comparisons....took this picture on my bench a few minutes ago...... These are all 6 irons.

4_zpse4b1aa33.jpg

The exact sizes are as follows..... Length #1 is the length of the striking area along the sole....height #2 is the height top to bottom at the outer end of the score lines and height #3 is the height at the inner end of the score lines near the hosel.

Dimensions_zpsc6bea559.jpg

Baby Blade

#1 = 50 mm #2 = 50 mm #3 = 30.5 mm

TB Black (and TB)

#1 = 52 mm #2 = 52 mm #3 = 32 mm

MB 001

#1 = 53 mm #2 = 53.5 mm #3 = 34.5 mm

PP 9003

#1 = 55 mm #2 = 55 mm #3 = 33 mm

As you can see the actual differences are pretty small......but IMHO they are just enough to be significant.

Several people have commented that BBs aren't really that much smaller than TBs. FLOGMR's number seem to back that up.....but they sure looked a lot smaller to me than my TBs. Maybe it was the visual of the black TBs vs Satin BBs.

I have the exact recoils in a set of mp 64's. I like them too...

I'd buy the BB used but they rarely come up...

I just sold my TB's about a month ago, they were sick to. I can give you the guys contact info that bought them and you can see if wants to let them go.
more want the bb for cheap! Lol! Thanks though.

BB's are so small but very sexy, they are probably the best looking irons ever at address. The ball is taller then the face though.

Your three months late, as I just reshafted my BBs with DG Pros. Was going to sell the heads but now I have found the right combo for me. I would say the BBs definitely dig a bit so if you take deep divots then that could be a problem.

I'm a picker. I can scrape it off a piece of rice paper like David Caridine baby!!

Thoughts on putting 110 steel fibres in them? I personally wasn't impressed with DG pros... Hit them in royal collection cbs last week. Too harsh for my old-guy elbow.

Can you share with us what the stampings after the Miura represent?

There's a reverse k type and one other that are circled.

Curious as to what they actually stand for.
