T and TS Grind for Ping Tour Wedge

I just ordered 2 Ping tour wedges : 52-12 and 58-08. I'm just asking myself how many the bounce will be reduced if i ask for a T Grind, or TS Grind ? I'm part of those who dislike to much bounce. Thank you for your answer.

well teh T grind will loos the trailing edge.. its almost like the titleist M grind..

works very well especially if you have hard fairways....you might loose 2* bounce.. that is why when i got my 58 i got the higher bounce in it..

Sure it helps ! Here in france, we mostly face hard sand in the bunker (or wet sand) and hard lie around the greens... So about minus 2° for the T grind. Do you have any idea for the TS Grind ?

Hello, I am familiar with the grinds from PING. If you get the T Grind it is a combination of B&H Grinds which are grinds that are on the back of the sole and grind on the heel. This can reduce up to as much as 4 degrees....The TS Grind combines the T Grind with the Bounce Grind, the bounce grind reduces the overall angle or bounce of the club, the grind will work better on very firm conditions. This grind is where they take off mucho bounco!! If you like playing wedges that have very little bounce I would suggest the TS Grind....If the TS Grind doesn't leave enough bounce...try the T...I play the tour wedge in the 54 and 58 with the T Grind on the 54 and the TS Grind on the 58...LOVE THEM....GOOD LUCK

Also at the bottom of listings there is information on what equipment is being played by that individual....where do you put that info in??????

I think I found out what I was needing to know but just in case, I was wondering how or where you typed in your equipment that you are playing......

Callaway Driver ect......but i think i figured it out..if you need to PING website should have the info on the grinds avalible throught the WRX Department

Ok ! I was looking on the ping website but didn't find the info i was looking for (probably my fault) and in France (i live in Paris), the Ping offices are closed for the hollidays, i mean the technicians are off, what it means the same... As i was reajusted my order, that's why i asked this here, and found an aswer... :tongue: thank you all !!

I have a 58 TS grind that I use as a sand wedge. The grind took a little off the bounce but I don't know how much. I use the 58 in lies that are a little fluffier and of course the sand. As a sand wedge it is outstanding as I can open the face right up and it will pop the ball up and land it gently when I short side myself...this wedge has made me look good after stupid misses!!!

I have hit it off the deck in a tight lie and it doesn't dig or bounce and skull the shot so I am thinking the bounce is ok.

Just got my T-grind Tour wedges a couple of weeks ago and they're MONEY!!! I'm really loving how they perform, not only around the greens...but also on full shots. They're very accurate for me and they replaced Mizuno MPR wedges that also had a bit of a (stock) sole grind.

We replied:

There will still be bounce on your Tour Wedge once you have the T grind applied. The bounce on the 56* Tour Wedge is 13*. With the T grind it takes it to around 9* of bounce. I hope this information helps. Thank you, Byron McKinney
