Shaft Technologies on eBay

I am in the market for a Titleist driver adapter and Shaft Technologies on eBay has what they are calling OEM Titleist adapters for $13. This is $15 if not $20 cheaper than anywhere else.

Has anyone dealt with them or bought these adapters before? Are they actually OEM? Feedback seems good on the seller.

Got a shaft from them. For shafts they seem to be an intermediary rather than holding inventory. Likely the same for the adapters. It may take an extra couple of days to get your stuff compared to others. Your order will stay in a waiting to ship status for a couple days while the oem fulfills the order.

I ordered a shaft and the oem no longer carried the shaft. Shaft technologies upgraded the shaft to a very recently released shaft from the same manufacturer for the same cost.

I just bought a Ping G adapter for my G400 3 wood and the adapter works fine but it's different from the G400 adapter on the stock Alta CB shaft. I'm not sure if

Ping changed the design of the adapter but it's absolutely different .

My most recent interaction is a little sketchy. I actually ordered through Amazon (SHAFTTECHNOLOGIES). I needed a project x 6.0 individual shaft (5 iron I think), and after some emails back and forth they told me to purchase the item that was labeled "Project X Flighted Steel Tapered - #5 Iron 6.0 40") but that they would send me the regular non/flighted version. The shaft I received was non-flighted, but the product code on the shaft indicates it's a 6.5 and not 6.0. I asked multiple times and they assured me it was 6.0, but I tend to side with the manufacturer's stamp.

The picture they are showing of the adapter is definitely different than the one I know to be a true OEM on my 910. But idk if Titleist has changed it since then. I'll have to see if I can find a Google image of a real one.

I believe Titleist changed with the 915 line. The adaptor is still usable with previous lines but was different for some reason and looks a little different from the 913 and 910 tips. I read someone say they would be less expensive to produce, but never heard that verified anywhere. That said I've used various aftermarket Titleist tips before and they all worked the same for me.

I’m currently enduring my first and only ordeal with them.

I ordered a shaft and they sent me the wrong one. Stuff happens.

*Setting up* the return/exchange wasn’t a problem. On Monday, May 4, I shipped the shaft back to them and uploaded tracking. Later that day, they sent a message saying they shipped the correct one and would upload tracking later.

I sent two messages requesting the new tracking number, most recently on Friday morning. The first one was not acknowledged but they responded to the second one by providing the tracking number of my return shipment (obviously useless because I know what I sent them). My return shipment to them was delivered on Friday.

I immediately told them they sent the wrong tracking number and didn’t get a response. Later that afternoon, I sent another message and didn’t get a response.

This morning, I sent a THIRD message saying I haven’t received the correct shaft or the tracking number for it. (Remember, they got the original wrong shaft back on Friday.) They finally responded saying “Based on [my return tracking number back to them], it looks like the package came back to us for some reason.” They were STILL referencing the wrong tracking number!

I sent a strongly-worded message this afternoon noting that I’m still without the correct shaft or a tracking number and am doubting they sent the correct shaft on May 4 as they claimed. I said that I want the tracking number immediately and if they still haven’t sent it, they need to overnight the correct shaft. This is effing ridiculous.

To be continued …

I just bought a KBS hybrid steel shaft from them. My eBay app said I have bought from them before but I cant recall what exactly or when I did -- but I would have remembered if it was a bad experience. Having them tip and trim the shaft and put an adapter on so I am a bit worried now that it won't be done correctly. Says its shipping today so I should have it in a few days.

Usually shaft adapters being sold on eBay that come with the screw & washers are not OEM.

Comparing his pictures to the factory Titleist pulls that I have, the serial number font and size are bigger than OEM ones and span across the full width of the "skinny" section of the adapter.

I believe the ones being sold by shafttechnologies are not authentic Titleist adapters.

** Oops, just noticed how old the original post is regarding the adapters.

Just had a customer bring in Project X 6.0 shafts to replace True Temper X 100's.  With the hosels prepped and cleaned "properly" and the shaft tip prepped "properly" it would not fit into the hosel.  It would only go in approximately 3/4".  That brought about some curiosity from my end.  I compared the taper flaring points on the shafts and they were all over the place.  The butt end of the shafts have chrome actually coming off and the shaft stamping at the butt end is extremely inconsistent with OEM stamping.  I pulled one of our Project X shafts and sure enough, it fit into the T100 head easily.  Customer said he should have looked at the order more carefully as it says .370 and to that I said "no sir".  The shaft fit into the .355 gauge I have but extremely tight and when measured with a micrometer, well lets just say it isn't a .370.

To conclude, it is apparent to me this company deals with counterfeit product and advertises and sells as OEM.  The 8 shafts were sold for $200.00 and if you look anywhere else, they go for around $40 each or $320.00 for 8 new.  There is a reason why reputable companies have a department dedicated to seeking out and finding who is producing counterfeit product with their name on it.  One of them being, those individuals that produce counterfeit support money laundering and child labor and wage violations and the list goes on and on.  When you purchase counterfeit product, you just did as well.  I encourage you to do your due diligence and be careful who you spend your money with.  Now, this customer is going to spend MORE on correcting the issue instead of seeking out knowledgeable professionals in the beginning that know how to direct you on your purchases.
