Even though I am not into collecting covers you have some excellent putter covers. I guess if I had a real man cave I might get into collecting course putter covers.

I don't really collect anything other than these (which I stumbled into). Aside from the five in the original picture (which is now updated), there are another five or so that I'd like to have but just one that I REALLY wanted. It's from a place with a summery pink clubhouse and shares its name with a college football team that won the national championship in the last few years. I can't believe my luck, but now I actually have it!

When I said I should be set for a while in my original post, I should've added a caveat. After deciding not to immediately get a set of MP-18 SCs, I looked at the older MP models going back about ten years. I didn't like the aesthetics of the 25s and 54s, the 52s were too chunky, and the 60s, while beautiful, are so old that mint sets can't be found anymore. So I was thrilled when I came across the demo set of 57s that I have now. But there was one other model that I was on the lookout for, one that has achieved cult status over the years, the 53s. Behold ...

 

 

 

I just blasted and reshafted these so we'll see if they kick out my 57s, but I'm really excited to try them out. I'm going to try not to buy another club until the M4 goes down in price next year.

I also played the MP 53s for 4 years and loved these irons, I still regret selling them.

Yeah, it's on all of the woods. When I first started playing, I hit a tee shot too high on the face and chipped the paint on my brand new 910D2. A couple of years later, I misjudged the fluffiness of the rough and got a nice dummy mark on my 5-wood that had been in pristine condition. I've been putting tape on the woods since.

I'll do the same every now and then with tape when I experiment with a new driver and tee height.

My handicap dropped 2 strokes in the 2 months since I got my Edel and it has me seriously considering diving into the wedges now.

That's actually a much better price than what I thought considering the price of the putters! Can you go a little more in depth on what they do for the wedge fitting? Is it your general wedge fitting you see in other brands or is there some innovative process like they do in the putter fittings?

 

The only wedge fitting I had ever done before Edel was part of a full bag fitting at Club Champion, and in retrospect, that doesn't really count. The putter fitting is definitely more innovative but I was still very happy with the wedges. The process lasted about an hour and was split about evenly between indoor (more like hitting off a mat in a three-car garage type room that opened up to outside) and outdoor, alternating in 15-minute increments starting with indoor. We dialed in the numbers indoors and looked at grinds and turf interaction outdoors.

I guess I'm officially a Mizuno fanboy. From what I've read on this site, the MP-32s are in the GOAT conversation so I had to jump on these. Now I have sets of blades, players cavity backs (MP-57s), and game improvementish irons (MP-53s).
