Turtleson golf polos -- how do they fit?

I've got a two-teams golf trip coming up, and the organizer is arranging for Turtleson shirts for each team. We've got to let the organizer know what size shirt we need -- but I have no idea how these things fit.

I'd rather not get a shirt that turns out to be ill-fitting, or I'll be uncomfortable during the rounds, and will never wear it again.

Anyone able to offer some insight into their fitment? I prefer something slim-fitting without sleeves that come down to the elbows. I'm going to be either a Medium or Large, but currently have no idea which I should opt for.

I think they have a generous fit. I really like them, but a bit big.

They fit like Peter Millar polos.

Fairly true through the chest, standard sleeve length (not down-to-your-elbows-Donald-Ross) and somewhat boxy through the midsection. Not slim fitting, but not FJ giant either.

That's good info, folks. It has me leaning toward a Medium...

If it helps anyone else going forward, I went with the M, and am glad I did. The Ls were loose on most of the guys who went with them, and they wished they had gone with an M. (And yeah, a couple guys got XLs, not knowing better, and they were really big.)

thanks for your follow-up here! I'm a medium in Greyson and RLX. Would you think I might even be able to get away with a Small in Turtleson? I'm a guest in an upcoming member/guest at my buddy's club and we can order two pieces from the Turtelson site they have set up for us...

Toga -- I'm not sure how Greyson and RLX fit (but maybe someone else will see this who does). What're your height & weight, and how do you like your golf shirts to fit? I like a closer/shorter sleeve, and a slim cut. The M gave me this without being too tight in the chest or shoulders. I'm 6'-0" and 180, for reference.

If you’re a medium in Greyson and RLX you’ll be comfortable in Turtleson’s Smalls.

I'm 5' 11" and just under 175. I like the same fit as you are describing; shorter sleeve and slim fit. Seems like I might be between an M and a S. I'm an S in Peter Millar and FootJoy and a M in Greyson and RLX.

How do these compare to Travis Matthew? In Travis Mathew I wear 2xl but Footjoy XL.

I am not sure about TM, but I am L or XL in almost everything out there with most things being XL. I normally get an M in Footjoy and my Turtleson polos are all M too. They fit slightly tight but not slim. My Turtleson pullover is a large and I could probably be an XL in that as it's a little short on me.

Revisiting this thread here as I have an opportunity to purchase some Turtleson items at a nice discount, but have 0 experience with their products.  I wish somewhere nearby had them to try on, but they do not.  I am 6', 177lbs, and wear a size M in Travis Mathew.  M in most Peter Millar and Greyson fits too big for my liking.  I have broad shoulders, but prefer a nice trim fit, not spandex tight but not baggy!  Any additional feedback from those that own/wear Turtleson polos and sweaters would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

I really like Turtleson polos but I'm kind of in-between in sizes with their stuff.  I'm 5'7 165 and the medium is a little bigger than I like (roomy through the midsection, length is fine when tucked in) the small is a little slimmer than I generally like but length is good when wearing untucked.  I think their fit is similar to Peter Millar Summer Comfort in that it's a less slim cut.  For your measurements I would think the medium would work pretty well. 

Polos fit very similar to Peter Millar.  For their pullovers and outerwear, go up a size.  I wear a Large in their polos, but both the 1/4 zip and hybrid jacket I have from them are XL.

This. I wear L in PM Summer Comfort and take L in Turtleson polos. But I wear XL in PM outerwear and the same for Turtleson.

Other polo sizes for me: Greyson - L, H&B - XL, Nike - XL, Adidas - XL, PM Tailored Fit - XL

hehe, I see what you did there.  I can attest the 'two fit' version of PM clothing.  6'0 185 here, average build, prefer a snug but not tight fit.  Basically anything w/ sleeves in PM is a L, anything without is a M and in their classic fit polo's, I bet I could get away w/ a damn small. 

Not to hijack the OP but that's from someone w/ probably 20-25 in assorted tops of PM bought within the last 2 years.  

But to the OP, it is a good topic/question to ask how sizing is in X brand of polo amongst us degenerates who have too much of this s***.  

It got/is expensive to get to like an apparel line but have to get through the 'breaking in' period of getting the sizing right and you should be good to go with most of these good apparel lines, as in, sizing shouldn't change year to year, etc.  

For example, I got my first pair of Rhone pants today.  Love them.  I ordered online, got lucky, they fit perfect.  Now, how about the polos?  Qtr zip?  Sweater?  What's the fabric?  Size measurements?  Reviews genuine/favorable?  Style of fit option, if so, 'tailored' or 'classic'? 

You know, all the things most everyone does at least a couple times a week, pulling the trigger on roughly 20% of what you really considered/wanted and then you were proud of yourself for showing restraint only to know you'll do it all over again in 3 more days and then the car payment comes due...........

Ok, now I'm not sure we're on the same page here. lol I wasn't trying to be funny or clever -- I was pointing out that PM literally makes two lines, or "fits": Crown/Crown Sport (standard fit) and Crown Crafted (tailored fit). So, when you say that X "fits like Peter Millar," I think it's important to note which PM fit you're referring to.
