Decrease loft Titleist 818 Hybrid

Do i gain more distance when decrease the loft from 21° to 20° or is the shaft lenght diciding? Thinking of buying the new Titleist TS Hybrid in 19° instead of 21° like my 818H2 Hybrid.

Yes, you should gain a few yards. Literally, like 2-3 yards.

I hit my 19* about 20 yards further than my 23*.

Are they only 1* apart with shafts basically the same length?

If your WITB is correct, you are bagging 13 clubs, though it looks like you would have a gap from PW (46*) and your 54* sand wedge. If 13 clubs, and you want to add a hybrid, you could get the H1 19* and adjust to 18.25*, then add some loft to your 21* (goes up in 0.75* increments), which would create a decent gap between the 2 hybrids. Most would probably recommend a gap wedge rather than the extra hybrid, but it depends on your game.

To your original question, the 19* H1 adjusted to 20.5 is going to give you a few yards (2-3) at most due to longer shaft (a whopping 0.5" longer) though you can adjust the 21* to 20.25*. A wash.

The hybrids adjust 1* up and down, the driver is 0.75*.

I have used both 19* and 21* but both are basically the same

distance, 195ish carry, not much gains between the 2..

What i do know is for me to clear the 205 yards requires me to

play a min. of 17* hybrid at no less than 41" long.

It depends on the net effect of lowering the loft. Does it improve launch or degrade launch? If you gain distance probably just a couple of yard. Also, would you need to adjust the lie angle?

Want some free advice from a guy that has been playing 816 and 818 hybrids for quite awhile now?

Forget about yardage changes from hosel adjustments; even if it's happening consistently, it's mice nuts. Think of the hosel adjustments as opening or closing the face ONLY to tweak dispersion and/or get rid of two-way misses.
