Titleist TS4 review

I have not seen one yet. So here is my take on it. It was not fit, but I would call it close to what I would want. I hit it with the hazrdus smoke yellow shaft and a 10.5 head straight in. I tend to be a bit of a low spin low launch guy so I always play with a bit more loft In my driver. I don’t ever seem to get really good efficiency with this shaft Although I have always liked how it feels. I wish I could try it with the ventus. I truly think I would have been a few MHP faster in ballspeed with the ventus just because of a higher smash factor.

Look: smallish head, that is more round. I am not a super big fan. It looked good, but not great to me. This club should have that classic titleist pear shape I think to really pop. The face is moderately deep for today’s drivers and the total head size

Feel: of the TS line this club far and away feels (to me) the best. I felt it had a good soft’ish feel and felt like the ball stayed in the face.

Sound: great sound. It is the most muted of the current TS line up.

Performance: well, here are my numbers off GCquad. The spin stayed down. I was always in the 2100-2400 spin. I did find that it is squirrelly and you have to put a good swing on it or it could exit stage left quickly. But solid strikes felt great and performed just as good. I get 3’ish MHP more ball speed with this driver than I do with the TS3. I think that could be due to better launch and spin numbers.

Dang, those are some big numbers! I'm excited about the "stay in the face" feel you described. I want one of these for my "draw driver" build and I really love that feeling in a club that I plan to shape.

My brother got fitted and ordered his TS4 through CC yesterday. Blew everything else for him out of the water. They said it should ship around the 27th of this month.

They should be available now.

Possibly, but we don’t score as well. Played today and shot 76 on a course any tour pro would have shot 65 or better and left strokes on the course.
