Cleveland frontline elevado 2019 impressions

Great compact 7 style mallet. It has an impressively stable feel.

Through prior experience I was always going to dump the heavy lamkin grip, and after a process of elimination, have settled on a superstroke pistol 2.0.

Nicked a quarter inch off it to make it 34.75. I'm playing three rounds in the next four days, so the proof is to come. Loving it putting at home..

I think a lot of people will like it in the flesh. It looks to be a really nice putter.

Regards

If I can get a clue, I will add a couple of photos fwiw

Lefty model obviously but literally purchased and went right on course..... I am NOT a mallet guy but this particular head suits my eye well. I'll need some practice however initially we got along better than expected. Made 3 birdies with 2 being over 20ft. It seems to do as advertised; rolls quickly and stays on intended line far more often......more to come

I tried a lefty Elevado as well recently. It's a pretty small footprint and very thin height wise, feel and construction is good. First 3 putts were 20 footers and sunk them all, ball rolled pretty nice a bit of skipping but could have been the turf I was on. Feel of the face to me was a medium-soft feel so within my wheelhouse a bit.

I will say a small downfall of this on the photos above where it says Frontline that is a raised lip. I noticed it caught the turf on the way back, so if you dont float the head before putting this could be an issue for some. I'm also not a huge fan of how the face looks but that's personal and you dont see it when putting. Also the price at $250CAD it's up there, maybe if I find a used one cheap I'd give it a go but I don't use mallets much.

Still a good putter and a good amount of tech for the price as well. I'll just wait for reviews and discounts before I'd make a move.

So I went back into the shop and rolled the Elevado some more and I'm liking this putter. It's solid, stable and rolls the ball nicely. The insert doesn't really have an insert feel to it which I like, closest putter I used at the same time in store was a Scotty Phantom 7 which I putt with well just can't bring myself to buying now.

So just based on a few rounds of putting in store I like this putter line or at least the 1 option available for lefties. I think I'll watch for it to go on sale or pop up on the BST cheap.

Absolutely love my Frontline Elevado, need to throw it in my signature as the Spider X is now out of the bag. By far one of the most stable putters I’ve ever had, putts like a blade which I love and personally, the stock Lamkin sink fit grip fits me perfect.

I can’t express how good this lineup is, Cleveland is on to something with the MIM’ed tungsten in the front of the putter, can definitely feel the stability through the stroke and distance control is excellent.

By far, one of if not THE best putter I’ve had in years, if this thing sold for $400 I would still buy it off of performance alone.
