Blueprint VS T100

Has anyone compared these 2? Obviously I’m assuming the Blueprints will require better ball striking, but the consensus I keep seeing is that they are surprisingly forgiving. I’ve played the original AP2s since they came out way back when so I’m naturally looking at the T100s.

There’s a lot of siren songs on here. Not to say the Blueprints aren’t forgiving for what they are but realistically it’s a tiny blade. There is absolutely no issue if you’re hitting middle and you can stay pretty neutral with your delivery. That said, they’re going to be demanding. Talked to a 2HC that said they’re not forgiving. Cam Champ said he couldn’t hit the 4 iron.

t100 is just a smaller AP2. If you’ve hit the 718 you know what it’s about. Small and delivers most of the good of a blade with some extra miss hit protection and MOI.

    +1 ^^^

Adding on, the T100 has a lot more bounce and camber than the blueprint will. The blueprint is probably the least amount of bounce that Ping has put on an iron since the S59 days imo, maybe even less than that. It 110% about how you deliver the club. As the guys at NCW say, "only about 2% of people actually hit the ball before the ground, so how the sole is interacting with the turf is everything."

For me personally, I have a steep delivery (~~ -3 on Trackman) with a quick release and prefer to have lower bounce so that the club isn't fighting against the ground when it gets to the ball. I dont like the AP2's in the past, or Titleist irons really in general, but love the blueprints. I found them very similar to the Nike Vapor Pro.

I appreciate the responses. I guess it’s going to come down to personal preference. I’m a good enough ball striker to play blades, but the T100 could offer that little extra help. The Blueprints are just so beautiful.

In my fitting I tested Blueprint, Mizuno MP SEL, Titliest 620 MB/CB and the T100.

Blueprint advantages (for me) - best looking club ever, good feel, more forgiving than you'd think, higher spin.

T100 advantages (for me) - a little more forgiving, almost the same clubhead size, about 5 yards longer, high spin and feel good.

Honestly, it comes down to preference. I went with the T100 because it gave me some extra distance and forgiveness while not sacrificing the feel/look. It also went through the turf better.

If you can play both I would just hit them head to head. But do it on grass, outside not on a mat!

I just wouldn't compare blueprint to T100. Should be Blueprint v 620 MB. No matter how much we want blades to be CB's, they aren't. Blueprints should be described as, " what you see is what you get". They are a small muscle back blade, not forgiving, not punishing, just a small muscle back blade.

BP was better and easier to hit. My BP's don't go below 6 iron though FWIW

BP's are VERY forgiving IMO.... same as s55's and everyone yaps about those
