Geoff Ogilvy - Was he wearing Puma Golf Shoes?

I was searching for pics of Ogilvy's golf shoes from this weekend to add to this thread but came up empty.

Does anyone know if those were in fact Puma Golf shoes? if so are they going to be released to the public?

I know he has Puma as a clothing sponsor so it would not surprise me if they made a pair of golf shoes just for him.

Personally I think that Puma makes very light and comfortable shoes, which would tranfer into a perfect nice weather golf shoe.

Yeah he had all puma apparel, which I thought was kinda odd since he is a cobra staffer, which is through acushnet, along with footjoy.

Those are some of the coolest golf shoes I've ever seen. Unfortunately 179 pounds converts to about $312.00 USD. Yikes.

look at ebay. in germany they are available for 219 euro on ebay.

i think they are going to be released under the jlindeberg-puma name.jesper is wearin them....expect them to be pretty expensive.....cool looking though.

Not the same shoe. What you guys are talking about is the Lindeberg shoe. It is sold by Lindeberg, not Puma. It's a sort of joint venture between the 2 companies. That being said, Puma is also launching it's own golf line, which has nothing to do with JL. Olgilvy is sponsored by Puma and is wearing their new golf line. Of course, the JL shoe and the Puma shoe have some similarities (since one is made by the other), but they are not the same. I think the Puma line will be available this summer. Also, there is only one model of JL shoe, I believe there will be a few Puma models.

I hate the Lindenberg stuff. Fine if you are 20 and skinny, awful on anyone else. As for Puma it has really lost its place in the UK market. It was the top dog in football boots and still does quite well in the cheap end of the trainer market but I cannot see it getting anywhere in golf. In my local sports stores a Puma polo shirt is $20 max, yet I understand the golf range is going be Lacoste or Hugo BOss priced. Hello? Timex selling $3000 watches, I don't think so.

Everybody has the right to have an opinion, but you are wrong in one point: He wasn't wearing JL, it was PUMA, but I guess that doesn't really make it any better for you...

Geoff wears the new Puma line which launches in March in Europe. You should just visit the puma site there is a bit of information. There will be a lot of cool shoes and accessoires. The J.Lindeberg shoe is quite expensive and quite heavy but the design is cool and it fits that good...

Just because a golfer doesn't dress like Davis Love or Fred Couples with pleated pants and visors that wrap around their entire head, doesn't mean they don't dress classy or look bad. Why do so many golfers insist on wearing short sleeved shirts that go down to their wrists? Aside from the fact that it gets in the way during your swing, it looks 4 sizes too big. Tacky IMO. Obviously everyone has their opinion and that's fine. For the younger guys on tour, I think the Camillo Villegas, Charles Howell look is very cool and refreshing. Might even look good on some of the older guys who are in shape.

My sources inform these shoes will retail for £80. Compared to the Lindeberg's a bit of steal in my opinion - if you like the styling.

If you liked geoffs get-up then you liked parneviks today. and dl3 isn't normally in the wrap around the head visor that is one i don't care for i don't even mind sergios stuff but please iron your $hit before you come to the course.
