Most popular 3 wood on PGA Tour?

For those of you who closely follow the club counts on tour, what are the top three 3 wood models currently played on tour?

The one with the highest paying contract

taylormade is the most used wood, esp. the 07 burner tp

i don't believe there is tee up money for fairway woods, which is why in the past Adams, Sonartec and Nickent were able to get in many pro's bags.

I believe there is either tee up money or pool money mostly available for Drivers and Putters.

With the multitude of Tour Only models it is tough to pick based on model.

It seems that many that play TM woods are still gaming the '07 Burner TP fairways.

The Nike players are still gaming the SQ fw.

Lots of Callaway models in play including, Diablos, X and squareways.

Ive seen a lot of guys that are full contract with one company but have a Burner TP slid in there. Its a money club.

I notce most pros have non brand specific headcovers on their 3 woods.

I was a Sonartec tour rep and there was never any tee it up money. Guys played it because it was a great product and they had room for a few extra non sponsor clubs, ie Duval. Interesting note I built Geoff Ogilvy a 3 wood back in 2002 that he gamed for a long while before Cobra days back when he was with Taylor Made. 14* SS03 with a Harmon Tour Design CB95 shaft.

Burner TP. Great clubs I have 2 of them in tha bag right now. Remember that 5 wood shot that Paddy hit to 5 feet in he British open he used a Burner TP

I'd put that old grey head Steelhead against any fairway wood out there. Still a fantastic club.

+2 Sergio changes drivers like they were socks but, '07 Burner TP is a constant.

Yeah, huge fan of the Steelhead Plus models...gotta say, the V-Steels I game are played quite a bit on tour, still.

I would probably still be playing a steelhead III if it wasnt so shut. Same can be said for my V-steel, just too shut. Burner TP=perfect.

If you're lucky, like I was, you can find a tour issue V-Steel for relatively cheap, and it's either square or 1* open (can someone confirm this more than just my guesstimate?)....but yeah, Burner TP is a rocketship.

Lucky would be an understatement to find a LH tour issue V-steel head. I guess I could have it bent, but that changes the lie angle. Eh.

Probably an equal number of original Steelheads as TM 200 Steels... Any love out there for the 200's?

07 TP Burner is hands down #1 on tour...

MUCH love for the 200's; had more luck finding V-Steels on the bay than I did 200's (in good condition)

If TM is the number one FW wood on tour why dont they advertise it like they do with the drivers.\?

No where near a tour player but I love My 200 Steel, bought two of them last year at GS for $17.00 each one Stock Graphite, one Dynamic Gold. Head on the Graphite had some scratches on crown pulled head from steel shafted head and put it on the graphite shaft. Great club.

I'm pretty sure that it was a Wilson FyBrid w/ a ProLite...

You see a lot of Taylormade fairway woods, i would say they are #1 and adams and titliest are 2,3. Sonartec used to be the best out there but have seemed to fall off the map. You see a lot of the older warbird callaways out there also.

There were a couple floating around on here a few years back, no clue where they disappeared to. No paintbreak though. Some of the retail heads are less closed than others, I spent quite a bit of time picking mine off the rack at Martins Golf in MB once upon a time. :)

Paddy hit a 5 wood (wilson fybrid) for THAT shot (of the year). he's said thats his favourite club. burner is his 3wood.

Don't get me wrong I loved my V-steel, but couldnt fit the hook any longer. Love the pro95, hit one in a 906f4 and it was a great combo. I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for a pro95x out there.

Close. It was a Wilson FwC 18* 5 wood with a Grafalloy Prolite 3.5.

As bovi says, the Burner TP was his 3 wood.

My current games is a nike and i sometimes

flare it out to the right if try to nail it too hard (more

of a swing flaw)
