I did like these at a recent 'Demo Day' I went to, but I ended up picking up a new set of X-22 Tours w/PX rifle flighted 5.0 shafts (currently have X-20's with 5.5) for $350 (I know, beware of fakes). But these look like a venture to get away from the X-series look, and to me, the Razr Tour look closer to the Titleist AP2? with that outer flange along the entire length of the back side of the face.

I've only played 10 holes (not all courses and holes are open in idaho yet) and am truly amazed by these clubs so far. Looking forward to playing some more here hopefully soon.

Tested 6 iron with S300 and PX5.5.
I found the ball flight to be very straight and penetrating. Distance and consistency in my opinion well above the average.
Not the easiest iron to work the ball ball some workability is still there.
The feel is very solid for a casted iron.
Overall this iron inspires a lot of confidence and would probably be my first choiche if it wasn't that at the moment i prefer the feeling of a forged iron.

I got my Razr X Tour set last month with KBS Tour 130g X flex. Very solid and very forgiving. Beautiful club to look at...thin topline...thinner than the Razr X Forged. Don't ask me why, but Callaway did these right! The only thing I did not like is that I needed to get the AW because the PW is 45* and goes much to far. So now I have 4 Wedges 45* 50* 54 and 60. If they make a players iron make players lofts 47 or 48 PW so you can go 54 60 or 48 52 58 etc..

I bought a set of these last month. I tried Taylormade 2.0, Tour Edge XCG4, and the Razr Tour. Although the Taylormade and Tour Edge clubs are 2 degrees flatter in loft and 1/2 inch longer shafts than the Razr Tours, I hit the Razr Tour 8 yards longer with tighter dispersion. I love these clubs. I agree with ShadowCLV.... I am carrying four wedges now P A 54 and 58. I have played Pings for over thirty years and these are superior.

Looked at AP2's, R9 tp's, Bridgestone J38 duals, Mizuno JPX pros, (really liked the mizzys, close 2nd). Ended up with the callys 4-AW, and couldnt be happier. The 4 iron goes as long as my old 3 (taylormade r7tp), so the lofts didnt bug me... just use one club less (no biggie). At address they are a fraction smaller than the R7tps, R7tps were more workable though. The big difference is that the entire club face is basically a sweet spot on the callys, a little off of the toe or heel is still on the green. Could live without the graphicky looking backs, but you cant see any of it at address. Great sound, feel, not quite forged feeling... but as good as you'll find in a cast club. Higher launch, the face is a little jumpier (hotter, or whatever you want to call it) than the R7tps, but by no means ballooning flight. Anyone checking out players irons with forgiveness should check these out, just enough meat on the club without it bothering you at address. Never was a huge cally fan, but these irons are not leaving my bag any time soon.

I think these are perfect for a very large range of players.

Callaway is showing with creativity that you don't need a massive headed iron to come up with some form of forgiveness.

I think iron is something almost anyone can use. If you're looking for something that has a 'tour' appeal but are afraid of the punishment of 'pure' player CB's, this might be the one.

Shockingly I found the Razr X forged to be so darn forgiving, and attractive, I could go either way. At the time I wasn't even looking at Callaway but both this iron and the Razr X forged came up as huge surprises for me. This one has even more forgiveness, and it's really hard to see it at address.

IMO you'd have to be one of those truly anti-Callaway guys not to seriously consider both of these irons. Well done Callaway.

Just recently order a set 4-PW, KBS Tour shafts and couldn't be happier. Feel great, look great, play great...what else can you say? Callaway did a fantastic job with these irons. I am a 24 HC, and I play these great. MPF rating is just a smidge under most GI irons, and better than the Diablo Forged I had previously. I can honestly say I haven't had a shank with these clubs, they fire straight and true. Out of the rough they are weapons, and I mean that to the fullest! 5/5 for me - my iron search is finally over.

I've had these irons for almost a year now and can honestly say that they are awesome. The stronger lofts lets me get more out of each iron and get the hybrids into play a bit more so thats a plus. The flight is straight and generally high but can take down with ease. DG S 300 shafts are perfect compliment for my swing. I have thrown more darts at flags in the past year than in the previous 4. With the shafts available for these irons I would recommenfd them to players of all levels.I really think that Callaway has a big winner here. Nice job!!!

recently ditched my mp-32's with x100s for a set of these also with x-100s, i was looking for a club with a little more forgiveness but also with workability.

the razr's are much more forgiving. i don't like the look of them as much as the mizuno's (or the feel--let's be honest, nothing matches a mizuno forged iron for feel), but i got a huge jump up in distance. I went from hitting a 7 iron about 150 with the 32s to now hitting it about 175....

only problem is, the distance on the short irons is very inconsistent. i catch a lot of jumpers, which is screwing me over...ive probably logged 20 rounds with them now and i don't know how many 9 irons i've hit straight over flagsticks and shortsided myself...

it seems like i can make a 9 iron go as far as i want, up to 160 yards sometimes, which is not super helpful when trying to go at a back pin...

anyone else having this issue? I just picked up a set of mp-60s off the bay to see if they accomplish that added forgiveness without sacrificing the control my 32's had...

The Razr X Tour is an awesome iron, I'm really liking mine. Only thing I don't like is purely cosmetic and not visible at address - but the back "bar" with the black accents annoys me, especially now that the X Hot Pro is out and it's "bar" is clean. But not a big enough deal to cause me to buy the new HXP...yet.

Quick follow up. After dozens of rounds and practice sessions, I'm still very much in love with my X-tours. Unlike a few of you, I've not gained any significant distance from these irons. I have however, gained a significant increase in forgiveness especially misses toward the toe.

Just picked up a set of Razr X Tours with S300s. Been playing a set of MP59s with KBS tour S, which I love the look and feel of. Probably too much iron for me at a 12 handicap but I get them around ok. Curious to see how the Callaways perform compared to them.
