i've had a studio stainless for a while now, its a great putter. you wont be disappointed. as far as scotty releasing another putter this year, i dont think so since they just released the Detour a month or two ago, but i'm not scotty expert... hope that helps.

The Studio Stainless is no longer in production - the only anser style putter from Scotty right now in reatil with a satin finish is the STUDIO STYLE putter

Maybe we should lighten up on spelling errors if we do not capitalize the first letter of a sentence.

First of all, you have spelt the model incorrectly! There will probably will not be a new model because the

'Detour' has just been released.

'People in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones' and 'pot calling kettle black' are phrases that spring to mind.

well I think the newport 2.5 studiostaainless putter is really cool but will scotty cameron come ou with a new madel like that over the winter

To actually answer the question... :D No, Scotty will not release a new "Newport 2.5-style" putter to the public anytime soon. If you find a good deal, more power to you. It is a very solid putter. Actually, any Scotty is a very solid putter. :cheesy:

Okay...enough with the comments about spelling. Not everyone on this forum speaks english as a first language and not everyone here can say they've made every post with no spelling errors. How about trying to help the guy with his question because even with the errors, I think we can understand the gist of it. :D

Fusion...the 2.5 Studio Style Newport from Cameron is the newest addition to my putter collection. Some people might be surprised since I've had a lot of putters but this is the my first time with a "Santa Fe" style neck on a putter. I've found the style to match my stroke very well. Many people have commented that they don't like the insert and I too was a little worried that I wouldn't care for it. After three rounds with this putter and several sessions on the practice putting green as well as my boomerang mat at home, I really haven't noticed it at all. There is a very slight difference in feel/sound should I not hit the ball perfectly in the sweet spot, but I haven't noticed a problem in distance control that I've heard others have had.

As for new styles of putters coming from Cameron, I haven't heard or seen what's new coming for next year. There are two models of the 2.5 Newport available though that you can try. One being the Studio Stainless and the other the Studio Style. I can't see how Cameron could come out with a much different model of 2.5 then the non insert Studio Stainless and the GSS insert Studio Style unless he changes up the finishes or uses a whole different metal.

I am hoping for a OTR Napa being reintroduced, maybe something in the line of the Napa Valley.

i'm really hoping scotty reintroduces something like the mil-spec. carbon steel, 33"/350g, newport, classy...cant go wrong with that....but the chances of that happening is probably very very low.

That napa valley should be nice if, but will probably be sold out before we get a crack at it. LOL I wish he would introduce another line of copper putters. That would be nice.

The 2nd is a Newport 2 Teryllium that's been refinsihed by some amateur. So once I've saved up the money it'll be off to the Custom Shop to get restored, and maybe a pro platinum finish - unless anyone wants to offer me some money for it......
