i like balls that are off the radar, wilson staff fg tour, maxfli u4, i do not like to graze with all the other sheep golf can be stressful enough without worring about hitting a $5 ball in the woods or water! i have always felt the tour balls, titleist, taylormade, callaway, were too hard. lots of choices now, the world is comming around to my way of thinking, and that scares me!

Pro V1x. I really liked the TM Lethal (stupid name) but came back around to the Titleist after receiving and playing a sleeve of "TEST" balls this summer.

I love the Pro V1 but must say I agree with you 100% the Maxfli U4 is a great ball, especially for the value. I bought several cases when they went on sale recently.

What is the question here? I like the Z Star since it gives me the best performance and can be had for $30-35 most days. If it was at $45 like the ProV offerings, I would try and find something else.

TP X gets my vote. Pro V's flutter into the wind for me and the SR series performs nice but feels like a rock. Srixon is a close second in a tie with B330.

Giving it to the SR series, but as I have told my local rep, I refer to them as SPIN Regime instead of Speed Regime. They fly like stink, they feel pretty darn good, don't balloon in the wind, and I can pull back 5 irons when desired... not a long way, but I did pull a 7 iron 30 feet back once on receptive greens.

That said, I don't spend top dollar on balls as the ChromeSoft/Chrome+ balls and previous year Srixon XV/Bridgestone B330 work just as well.

I am a long time ProV player but just switched to the 330S and love it. It's also 25% cheaper!

I've been very happy with the RZN series of balls. I've been using the RZN Red this off season, but will give the RZN Black in Volt a try when golf season really starts.

The durability has been better than the ProV1 and the wind performance is better.

I think I would play any of the top tier balls if I had to but my ball choice is usually based on what I can get for as close to nothing as possible.. Right now is Prov1x, last year was Tour Preferred x, previous was 20xi-x so really it doesn't matter to me what ball I play as long as I have a few rounds to get used to it
