Who goes gloveless?

Anyone else get cut by their own fingernails when they go gloveless???? I got myself today on my left index finger just behind the first knuckle , which is strange to me since i'm right handed and overlap , so seems kind of hard to have any interaction there.

It's funny because as I read this I looked down to my left hand in between my index and middle finger to look at the scar I have from my right pinkie nail carving it. If I keep the nail short it doesn't dig at all.

I have always played without a glove....

During the summer if it's super hot and sweaty I sometimes put one on to hit balls from the tee because I feel like the driver is going to slip.. But that's a rare occasion

If I play several days in a row (doesn't happen as often as I wish haha) I may have to tape a few spots but that's it

Just never been a big fan of a glove... Which always strikes playing partners as odd

Only wear one when it is cold, then I wear 2. Gloves seem to be a PITA to me, put them on, take them off, buy a new one for $15, another goofy tan line. I do a lot of physical work so my hands aren't office soft.

Can't play without a glove. Maybe I have weird hands, but if I don't wear one my grip looks and feels totally different.

Agreed, I have to play with a glove, I have played without one before and it just didn't feel right, it feels like every clubs is going to slip out of my hands...I buy my gloves at Costco--Callaway 3 pack for $16, Santa is bringing me 2--3 packs yay!!!!!

I went "gloveless" this year. It has been one of the best decisions for me and my game. I had the same tendencies as the OP mentioned. This year I learned that I really enjoy the feel and simplicity of not wearing a glove. I have developed calluses on my hands but it really is not bad. My hands do get sweaty, so I might use a little golf tape on parts/sections of certain fingers to protect from blisters but that is about it.
I used both cord grips and Pure DTX grips and have learned that if you go gloveless, the club grips become that much more important.
I will be moving back to all cord grips next year as I found that they work best in really humid conditions (even light rain). The Pure grips are great in cold weather but they are not so great in the humid or rainy conditions.

I need a glove when I play! Even forgetting a glove when I go to the driving range can ruin the whole thing for me. It is something that has just become so ingrained now that I need it. When I have tried to play without it, it just feels awful.

First couple of years I used a glove changed to no glove and been gloveless for the last 15 years

Found a glove few months back in an old shoes bag, thought I would give it a shot it felt like I had a hockey glove on haha

I figure if it's cold and wet out I shouldn't be playing

I can only think of a handful of times wet grips have affected a shot

I have never worn a glove, until I travelled south to play in Phoenix and Palm Springs. I had to buy one down there because I couldn't hold onto a club without it. Just too sweaty and slippery. But normally, no glove with Lamkin full cord grips. Feels best to me.

I don't, and don't plan to anymore. I had at times before, just because. But my hand size limited my options, and it was an added expense that would be more usefully spent elsewhere.

Another thing is that, unlike a lot of people, a glove causes me to grip the club tighter in my top hand. It's always been that way.

My dad got me started golfing at about 3 years old, and when I got to about 10 he tried to buy me a glove to try it out. It just felt weird, and I never used one again. I did take a hiatus from golf from when I was 12 until I was 26, but that's a whole other story... When I got back into it (2 years ago), I never even considered trying a glove, and I don't see a reason to, really.
