Different Putters For Different Conditions

I know that many people like to collect and have a wide selection of putters, but I was wondering how many of you had different putters for different courses or course conditions.

 

Just thought it might be interesting, inserts, mallets vs. blades, etc.

I have a Macgregor Face off, seems to offer good alternate face response without haveing differnet balance and feel of swithing different putters altogether.

I use the same putter whether it be fast green, slow green, sandy, windy, thorny, and what not.

Definitely. I do NOT use my $1000+ Cameron in crappy conditions or on sandy greens. Nor does it travel on airplanes.

I use the same putter for all conditions and I have to deal with things like fertilizer, sand, and pebbles part of the year in Michigan.

 

I think a lot of people who use multiple ones will say one for fast greens and one for slow greens.

i use a carbon steel byron morgan 006 in an oil can finish when the greens are dry (usually in the late spring through fall here in california). when they're damp or during the winter/late fall, i'll use my byron morgan 007 American Stainless Steel in black rainbow finish.

Conditions definitely impact the putter I take out. If it's dry, I will probably go with my carbon Byron 006, if it's damp, my a** 006, and if it's pouring, probably by Scotty Studio Select Midslant.
