golf shop name

In my area there are no good shops within at least an hour drive to get club work done so I have all the equipment and have been doing it for years for myself and my neighbors have gotten me to kinda start a side project for them and their friends. I am needing a good name for it though.... my son is Autistic and is getting into golf too and I want to keep the name kinda related to him (nickname is Potamus) or autism (puzzle piece maybe) as any extra money goes to help him. Any ideas or direction?

It's away from the nickname part of the theme, but "Spectrum Golf"? As for logo, you could have the hippo outline with the puzzle-piece outlines inside it (similar to the puzzle-piece scotty dog).

That is ana amazing idea!!! I had to look up what the scotty puzzle looked like I totally forgot about it. It is simple and fitting. Such a great idea, I think that might be it!!

Sometime I think simple is the best and can be very classy... so why not just call it Potamus Golf. I do love the idea of using puzzle pieces. My twist would be some type of simple graphic hippo constructed of puzzle pieces though.

 

Where it's just a simple but classy outline of a hippo standing on all fours, shoulder up or even on two legs pulling a golf cart, but of course constructed of a few puzzle pieces or with the puzzle piece idea melded in some way.

This is the Scotty Puzzle logo, for reference... I'd personally go with 2 shades of blue for the puzzle pieces, but that's just me.

For the record, I'm a fan of the puzzle piece hippo and the name Potamus Golf. It's simple and offers you a chance to tell the story about your startup at every introduction.

I am really leaning towards potamus golf. For sure the puzzle piece hippo for the logo and very good point about how it would be a story at any introduction, another good reason to go with that one. Also this last weekend we took all the kids to the local dicks sporting goods where the pro I grew up with now works there and he let them all just hit for as long as they wanted. Our son with autism fell in love with it along with our oldest daughter. Our youngest is only 4 and liked it bit doesn't have the attention span but has fun with it. I am getting some pieces together to get them both some clubs and we can start hitting in my pop up net in the yard and maybe go to the range here soon.

Could you modify the Univ of Alabama golf team's logo? They have a swinging elephant, that with a few creative strokes could be made into a hippo. Maybe change the hat/shirt color to the light blue of autism awareness?
