What is the smallest jr. driver you made with an regular head?

Thanks for the reply, Heavy Hitter. That is my thought too. Just picking up reading through these threads that some folks have been using them. Doing more research on specs it seems most of the Junior OEM heads are a hair smaller in volume, but the main difference is higher loft.

Assuming your profile pic is of your junior golfer, he looks a bit older - if he every played US Kids UL's, at what age did he switch out of those and to what?

I wish I found these threads earlier. Lots of good info.

Thanks!

He switched at 8/9 somewhere in there. I really don't remember. Pretty sure it was 9. The way my mind is it could be 8 tomorrow. LOL.... Pretty sure 9.

I am GenX.  If you really think I care about what you have to say, I don't.

Daughter is 12 years old, 57” tall and a lightweight. She has a great swing. Last season we played the US Kids 57” TS driver. Her lack of length was exposed at Worlds, moving up to 5,000 yards. Her drives were 150-170 with roll.

Her coach is good with switching clubs. I am thinking she needs a 40” shaft, but her coach would like to see a 14* or 15* loft for her. I am open for ideas and suggestions on heads. I figure I will get a Flynn shaft once I have the OEM head.

I'm not the equipment expert here but I would get her out of the US kids drivers. I would take her to get fit, seems 150-170 at 12 she is loosing at lot of distance, but I'm not sure what the averages are. My daughter is 7, and 54" tall and drives it 115-125 using a Ping G driver. What is her swing speed? I would even look at non flynn shafts perhaps ladies shafts even. The recoil series has a lot of light weight ladies flex options that could be good for your daughter, but I would get her fit.

Anyone have any reliable head weight info from your experience for M2(2016), Cobra F7 Jr., and XR16?

Talked to TM, the rep said M2 is "around 200g", but I read elseware it is 194. I've heard (and read here ) XR16 "is one of the lightest". I know swing weight is one thing and head/total weight is another...head weight specs are tough to track down. I am no expert, but reason that With a younger kids I need to lean towards light as possible. Maybe I am splitting hairs , but it seems 10g could make a difference.

FWIW, TM, Callaway, Cobra and Ping all make 'ladies' versions of their most popular clubs that are lighter than the standard ones.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Called manufacturers a few months back- I recall that TM said that the heads are all same weight - "Junior" M2 (2016), Ladies M2, and Std. M2, (except maybe Junior Cobra, has lighter adjustable weights), that the shafts are what is lighter. Heads the same. Will be calling again today. Just curious to see if anyone already had the info on hand from their own tinkering. Will report back.

Forr those interested , I spoke with all three corporate manufacturers directly today and got some confirmations:

TM M2 (2016)- 200g - Men's and Ladies

Cobra F7 Jr. - 205.5g -

Callaway XR 16- 189g - Mens and Women's

Funny I’ve gotten different answers on the cobra. They told me women’s/jr were 195

Good to know. . Maybe my info was bad. The guy at corporate had me on hold while he was looking it up. I even pressed to be sure that this was for the junior model and that the adult & womens was heavier because of the heavier movable weights. Good
